[Bug 296162] Re: network dies with large amount of high speed traffic
Annoyed Ape: This bug report is being closed due to your last comment regarding this being fixed with Ibex. Thank you again for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please submit any future bugs you may find. Faust: Some network cards are able to do some of the TCP/IP work instead of the Linux kernel to reduce the load on your CPU. 'ethtool -K eth0 rx off tx off' will force the Linux kernel to do that TCP/IP checksumming instead of your network card. Likely there is a bug in the network card of that fixes your problem. One other observation: If you are having problems with dropped networks try upgrading the firmware on your router. I did experience a problem with a Linksys router that would crash after a large amount of Bittorrent traffic. ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New => Invalid -- network dies with large amount of high speed traffic https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/296162 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better. Examining the information you have given us, this appears no be the normal behaviour of postfix.
