[Bug 388696] [NEW] unable to mount mixed cd in ubuntu jaunty 9.04 32 bits
Public bug reported: I have just discovered a rather annoying bug in ubuntu 9.04. When a mixed CD (audio + datas) which was engraved with K3B (for example) is inserted, it is impossible to explore the contents of the CD. Nothing happens. When trying to reach the CD-ROM reader trough the Workstation, an error indicates that the CD cannot be mounted. When mounting manually /dev/scd0 or /dev/sr0 by typing mount /dev/scd0, only the data files are accessible. The audio files seem to be non-existent. When turning off the computer and starting Ubuntu with the mixed CD already inserted, there is the two icons on the desktop : one for the audio files and another one for the data files. I tried booting my computer with a live-USB of Ubuntu 8.10 and i noted that it works perfectly when the same CD is inserted, since there are the two icons on the desktop and since it asks me if I want to listen to audio tracks. Thank you by advance for your attention. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- unable to mount mixed cd in ubuntu jaunty 9.04 32 bits https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/388696 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 234835] Re: almost at the end of installation
I have a similar problem with intrepid 64 and hardy 64. Before the installation, the computer had 2 disks of 500 GB, and the installation of hardy 64 working successfully. We have replaced the primary disk with a 1 TB disk and the installation quit with ubiquity error report. I used ubiquity --no-migration-assistant and the installation not working. For solving this problem, we have disconnected the secondary 500 GB hard disk and only let the 1 TB disk. With the 1 TB disk only, the installation of Intrepid 64 or Hardy 64 working successfully. -- almost at the end of installation https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/234835 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
