[Bug 1449003] [NEW] package chromium-browser 41.0.2272.76-0ubuntu0.14.04.1.1076 failed to install/upgrade: cannot copy extracted data for './usr/lib/chromium-browser/libs/libcontent.so' to '/usr/lib/c
Public bug reported: I have no idea what happened. I had just finished installing ubuntu- mate-core and ubuntu-mate-desktop and restarted and logged back in. Re: [Bug 1182484] Re: can't install xubuntu-desktop
This was so long ago that I am partially guessing here, but, if I remember correctly I believe that update manager was set to allow automatic upgrade when a new version is released and when it tried to do so it ran into the bug which was automatically reported. I was oblivious to this for a while but eventually caught on. As I am on the LTS version and will probably only upgrade when the next LTS is released I eventually disabled the automatic upgrade option in the update manager and have had no more issues. It updates the system now instead of trying to upgrade to a newer version. Thanks... On 11/14/2013 03:59 PM, Craig Hrabal wrote: > Could you be a tad bit more specific what you mean by "upgrade". [Bug 1182484] [NEW] can't install xubuntu-desktop
Public bug reported: Update manager fails while fetching new packages -- specifically stating it is unable to install the xubuntu-desktop package. After doing bug report the upgrade process wants to continue with the upgrade. Not really comfortable with an upgrade process continuing without a critical package.
