[Bug 637347] Re: Banshee not responding in Ubuntu 10.10 Beta

2010-10-19 Thread Michael Schwandt
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 448533 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/448533

For me Banshee is not responding when i import a folder.
I am not letting Banshee watch my media folder as I manually import the media I
want.

Until the dist-upgrade from 10.04 to 10.10 Banshee was working fine but
now I can't use it anymore. :-(

The workaround with --disable-dbus didn't work for me.

[Bug 563161] Re: Must reenable desktop effects with every restart in ubuntu 10.04 lucid

2010-05-02 Thread Michael Schwandt
I have exactly the same problem. When I login and start an application
it sticks in the upper left corner and has no window boarders.

Then I have to reenable the desktop effects and everything is fine until
the next reboot or until I log out and log in.

I also ran the script from here http://forlong.blogage.de/entries/pages
/Compiz-Check and everything looks fine.

Someone in the forum suggested to add '/usr/bin/compiz' or '/usr/bin
/compiz-decorator ' to 'Startup Applications':

But this looks only like workaround to me and not a real fix for this
annoying problem.

[Bug 429555] Re: Favicons not shown in search bar

2009-11-08 Thread Michael Schwandt
I am also missing the favicons. First i thought it might be the Shiki-Colors
but then I stumbled over this bug-report.
i am using a fresh install of Karmic-Koala (no beta or RC) and the Firefox it
came with.

Hope this get fixed some time, it is a little bit easier to select the
wanted search engine when it has a favicon.

2006-11-15 Thread Michael Schwandt

I had several tabs open and was dragging the favicon of this thread
(http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=22582) to a folder on the
bookmark toolbar and Firefox start useing all CPU power.
The cursor was showing the + sign and the whole system was not responding until
Firefox crashed and the Problem Report dialog appeard.
