[Bug 1840382] [NEW] 18.04 version should be backported to 0.63

2019-08-15 Thread Michael Tanner
Public bug reported:

Package libcryptx-perl in Ubuntu 18.04 has version 0.056-1 from
universe. This package has a severe bug which was fixed with version
0.63. The bug causes issues with certain decryption.

Therefore I would like to request backporting the version 0.63 to 18.04.

I think the important change to get the decryption working was this one
(taken from the release notes of libcryptx-perl):

- improved CBC/ECB padding (using libtomcrypt's functions: padding_depad
+ padding_pad)

** Affects: libcryptx-perl (Ubuntu)

[Bug 1240251] Re: Does not open with "today", can't jump there

I think it is important that the indicator resets the selected date when it
gets closed.
It's not very feasible.

[Bug 1255055] [NEW] Sticking to previously selected date

2013-11-26 Thread Michael Tanner
Public bug reported:

If I chose a specific date it stays selected even if I close the popup.
For example: I want to look for a date in 2014 and then I close the popup. 30
minutes later I want to look for a date in the next 2 weeks but the selection
is still on 2014.

This is not very feasible.

[Bug 1248760] [NEW] UI bug while hovering out of selected date

2013-11-06 Thread Michael Tanner
Public bug reported:

Issue:
If you select a date in the indicator calendar and then hovering out of the
"date field" it has a UI bug. I can not describe it good enough so I made a
short video sequence:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kh4z5H9-4y0&feature=youtu.be

What to expect:
No display issue but just a hover effect on the focused date (this does not
happen).

[Bug 805087] Re: Dash and launcher appear underneath windows

I think it would be better to use bug

marked as fixed and the other one is confirmed but unfixed.
It happens in Raring too but more seldom than before. I still don't know how to
reproduce, it still happens randomly.

It is bug as lightdm should copy the wallpaper to a readable directory.
I had an encrypted home and forget about it, that was my fault. But I
still think that this should be handled more properly as it could be
copied to another directory - just for lightdm.

[Bug 1043336] Re: Swiss keyboard layout with Apple keyboard (period instead of comma)

2012-08-31 Thread Michael Tanner
** Description changed:

It is a known bug that two keys on an Apple keyboard are swapped. There is
another bug which occurs on Swiss keyboards with an Apple model.
- In Switzerland people have a period instead of a comma on their numpad.
+ In Switzerland people have a period instead of a comma on their numpad. Also
there is something weird with the default mapping of the upper left key below
"ESC".
To correct this there is a workaround with xmodmap:

  keycode 91 = period period
+ keycode 94 = section degree

I think this is not the best solution so I report this as a new bug.

2012-06-06 Thread Michael Tanner
I have nearly the same issue. A few weeks ago I fresh installed my computer and
set my own wallpaper with two monitors. I did also a fresh install on my
notebook and set my custom wallpaper but which worked fine. Just the computer
had the issue.
So the bug still remains and I don't know how to enable the custom wallpaper in
lightdm.

[Bug 714069] Re: Evolution crashes on clicking the button "Today"

2011-02-08 Thread Michael Tanner
Okay, thanks for helping. I'm from Switzerland, your neighbour.

I think Evolution is changing the weeks too slow and if you click
"Today" too fast after changing the weeks it crashes because it was
changing the week (in the background processing) but I already had
clicked on "Today".

[Bug 714069] Re: Evolution crashes on clicking the button "Today"

2011-02-08 Thread Michael Tanner
I could reproduce it.

I started Evolution, clicked on Calendar and then continously pressed the "Next
week" button and then I clicked on the "Today" button. Evolution was frozen and
it began to blur then it closed, apport opened.
Then I got some messages from apport, see the first_apport.png then
second_apport.png and at least third_apport.png.

This was the ordering the messages appeared to me.
Thanks for helping.

But from now on apport doesn't alert something, but I am sure I enabled it like

Can it be, that you don't understand me? ^^
Sorry, english isn't my native language, I try to improve it every day.

[Bug 714069] [NEW] Evolution crashes on clicking the button "Today"

2011-02-06 Thread Michael Tanner
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

I can crash Evolution if I click on the symbol of next week (the button which
shows me the following week) continously and then fast clicking on the "Today"
button then evolution crashes.
If I wait a few seconds then it doesn't crash.

I expect that evolution doesn't crash and it shows me the "Today" date
instead of crashing.
