I can also confirm that adding ad_gpo_map_interactive = +unity has fixed the lock screen issue. Confirmed in Hardy x86_64 running on an 8800GT using the restricted driver installed using the driver manager. Blue/green skin hues in VLC, mplayer, and Totem. Everything worked fine in 7.10, so I removed the driver and installed the 169.12 x86_64 driver from nVidia's site and now things are back to normal.
