[Bug 563972] Re: huawei hsdpa usb modem won't connect

2010-07-25 Thread Michael Zehrer
In my case this was caused by the wrong APN for TopUp And Go. It should
be "ppbundle.internet". Maybe someone can correct this in the network
manager presets.

[Bug 118505] Re: System hangs when using Merlin XU870 UMTS card (airprime driver)

2008-03-03 Thread Michael Zehrer
The bug went away with a newer kernel in gutsy. Follwing the bug in the
Kernel Bug Tracker it was fixed in 2.6.20-16
(http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7858).

Since this seems to be a bug special to the reported kernel version, I'm
marking it as invalid.

[Bug 118505] System hangs when using Merlin XU870 UMTS card (airprime driver)

2007-06-03 Thread Michael Zehrer
Public bug reported:

Using my Merlin XU870 UMTS card makes the system hang, after inserting
the card everything is ok with the following output from dmesg:

[ 905.558000] usb 4-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 2
[ 905.705000] usb 4-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice

[ 906.632000] usb 4-1: airprime converter now attached to ttyUSB5

But if I try to use the created serial device /dev/ttyUSB0 from my
wvdial script the system hangs. I can reproduce this on two laptops
(Thinkpad z60m and Fujitsu Siemens Amilo si1520)

[Bug 64706] Re: Usplash shifted partially off-screen

2006-12-13 Thread Michael Zehrer
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 64487 ***

My usplash.conf contains:

# Usplash configuration file
xres=1280
yres=800

This is my screen size. Should I get rid of the xres, yres?

[Bug 60442] Re: Dual / Two Batteries, shutdown on empty expansion battery. (GPM does not recognises second battery on hotplug)

2006-10-07 Thread Michael Zehrer
Paul:

(a) removing the ultrabay battery
battery BAT1 0001

(b) inserting the ultrabay battery
battery BAT1 0001 0001
battery BAT1 0080 0001

(c) removing the internal battery
battery BAT0 0081

(d) inserting the internal battery

battery BAT0 0080
battery BAT0 0081 0001

If I start without the ultrabay battery inserted, I see no events when I
insert or remove the battery.

[Bug 60442] Re: Dual / Two Batteries, shutdown on empty expansion battery. (GPM only recognises first battery)

2006-10-07 Thread Michael Zehrer
I can confirm this with my Thinkpad z60m using an ultrabay advanced
battery as the second one.

If both battries are inserted during startup gnome-power-manager detects
both and details are shown in the info dialog.

If the ultrabay battery runs out of power gnome-power-manger happily
suspends my thinkpad ignoring the main battery.

If I insert the second battery while gnome-power-manager is running it
will not be detected.
