[Bug 429987] Re: Can't create Encrypted device with gnome-disk-utility
It seems that the package cryptsetup is missing in the standard installation. After installing that package I didn't get the 'No such file or directory' error anymore. But then I got another error msg 'Error creating partition: timeout (10s) waiting for partition to show up'. [Bug 278790] Re: Rhythmbox Coherence UPnP doesn't work.
I have the same problem. Rhythmbox with upnp plugin doesn't work as expected. I have appended the output of rhythmbox while trying to access a sample mp3 from my N800 (mediastreamer, upnp). I have tested this with the current intrepid daily-live-cd (64-bit). [Bug 212799] Re: [hardy] Xv causes SIGSEGV in memcpy()
I have also tested the proposed update (2:2.2.1-1ubuntu13.6). This update works great so far. No problems with high resolution videos! And I didn't notice any regressions. I am using a laptop with Intel 915GM chip. When will this proposed update be delivered through a regular update? [Bug 212799] Re: [hardy] Compositing + Xv causes SIGSEGV in memcpy()
I have tested the package from Achim (xserver-xorg-video- intel_2.2.1-1ubuntu13.6) and noticed no regressions so far. My System: Sony VGN-FS215B with Intel 915GM Ubuntu 8.04.1 32bit with kernel 2.6.24-19-generic Videoplayback works great. Without this patch the xserver restarted everytime I played back a HD Video and then switched to a normal Video. I couldn't reproduce this behaviour with the updated package! [Bug 207752] Re: Server installer does not warn that files on /boot, /etc, /usr, /var get deleted during installation
I made the same experience with a ubuntu-server install (hardy-beta). Partitions mounted on e.g. /var were deleted (except hidden .files/.folders). The Installer should definitively warn the user about this behavior! I'm confirming this bugreport and propose to change the importance to critical! ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New => Confirmed -- Server installer does not warn that files on /boot, /etc, /usr, /var get deleted during installation https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/207752 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 156055] Re: Windows shows on several workspaces
In addition to my last comment: It seems that compiz-plugins isn't a seperate project. So the place-plugin is part of the compiz project itself. [Bug 156055] Re: Windows shows on several workspaces
I noticed also the described behavior in hardy (up-to-date). It seems that this wrong behavior is related to the "place" plugin. Therefore I will add compiz-plugins to the affected packages. Furthermore I noticed different effects that depend on places options. I will try to explain this... Scenario: hardy (up-to-date), desktop effects: normal, plugin options managed through "ccsm" as described below. 1. Place enabled, Workaround option enabled (default compiz setting in hardy) - open nautilus (e.g. home folder) - maximise nautilus (window doesn't overlap) - close nautilus - open nautilus again (window doesn't overlap, still maximised) - close nautilus - open nautilus again (window overlaps, _not_ maximised anymore) 2. Place enabled, Workaround option disabled - open nautilus (e.g. home folder) - maximise nautilus (window doesn't overlap) - close nautilus - open nautilus again (window doesn't overlap, still maximised) - close nautilus - open nautilus again (window doesn't overlap, still maximised) - deactivate maximise (window overlaps) 3. Place disabled - open nautilus (e.g. home folder) - maximise nautilus (window doesn't overlap) - close nautilus - open nautilus again (window doesn't overlap, still maximised) - close nautilus - open nautilus again (window doesn't overlap, _not_ maximised anymore) Result: - Places (+Workaround) is needed to remember window positions (e.g. startup-position of pidgin) - Places (+Workaround) doesn't remember the window-state (normal/maximised) correctly and seems to be responsible for "window-drifting" Perhaps someone could test my described scenario (also with other programs) and play with the "place" plugin. -- Windows shows on several workspaces https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/156055 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
