[Bug 397806] Re: [Karmic]cdrom: This disc doesn't have any tracks I recognize!

2009-08-10 Thread Michal T
I have probably the same error. I am unable to burn at any free DVD-R/RW on KK
Alpha 3 using brasero or gnomebaker.
Always askes me for free medium to burn on, although I have it in cd-rom drive.
Weird..
+ I am unable to open drive until reboot/suspend machine. Once works only
eject, but then nothing.

[Bug 405405] [NEW] [Koala] problem with sound in totem, rhytmbox, but no in firefoxes flash videos

2009-07-27 Thread Michal T
Public bug reported:

Description:Ubuntu karmic (development branch)
Release:9.10 Alpha 3

alsa-base: Installed: 1.0.20+dfsg-1ubuntu4

I think that everything worked correctly until today's upgrades.
Sound in flash videos works good, but in totem and rhytmbox I can't hear ANY
sound.
In sound preferences when I am changing alert sound, I am getting more and more
application values in sound preferences called ALSA plugin
[gnome-volume-control] and they stays there for about 20-30secs with no sound
and then they're dismissed.
dmesg |tail shows only
[ 710.609136] CE: hpet increasing min_delta_ns to 50624 nsec
but imo this is not a problem.
Dunno what to add more.

[Bug 397496] [NEW] Keyboard input problem

2009-07-09 Thread Michal T
Public bug reported:

My problem is with keyboard input sometimes. It occurs untill machine reboot
or just going from gnome to - terminal (ttyX) and back to - gnome. Problem is
solved for gnome session, I can do everything like normal, but it persists in
terminals (ttyXs). I am even unable to login via tty! (see attached screenshot)
Now finally to core of the problem. From nothing my keyboard input just goes
crazy and I am unable to write text at all. Everything I can do is send
orders like t = win_key+t (^t signal), so I can start my terminal ONLY by
pressing T button. (although my default is win_key + t) All I send from
keyboard is ^s ^[s ^[k etc..
I am using 9.04 2.6.28-13-generic i686 (upgraded from gutsy - hardy -
intrepid - jaunty)
My default keyboard layout is USA.
What should I do?
Thank you for answers.

ok, I was googling and found newer bios (1.90), but I don't like
updating bios... I hope it won't be necessary.

[Bug 374608] [NEW] wifi card Atheros, sometimes not found after boot in amilo li1718 using 9.04

2009-05-10 Thread Michal T
Public bug reported:

Hi all,
I have a problem on FS Amilo Li1718 with wifi card. After upgrading from 8.10
to 9.04 wifi stopped working. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It
(kernel) won't find ethernet AR242x (wifi card). There was some problem with
wifi drivers as usual, but roadrashe's script solved it for me. Now there is
only this one problem with finding/not finding the HW (wifi card).
I am posting some outputs in file below. Few are same.

outputs download here:

[Bug 155438] Re: Compiz - workspace switcher shrinks and workspaces do not work corectly

2009-04-18 Thread Michal T
Just find out, that after this fix I have 4 desktops... each 4x.. so in
result I have 16 desktops :-/
For instance I move window to the Right desktop. I am unable to get there using
ctrl+alt+arrow. I have to click on workspace switcher to move to another
desktop (with it's own 4 desktops). This is not what I wanted to have.. :-/
I want only 1 virtual desktop.. divided into 2x2...

[Bug 328325] Re: Compiz with Nvidia 180: Desktop effect could not be enabled

2009-04-17 Thread Michal T
Very interesting.. I had it unchecked but after starting compiz and on another
terminal emerald --replace, it works :-/
But if starting through right click on desktop - effects, emerald won't start.
(now it does not complain about missing drivers :) )

[Bug 155438] Re: Compiz - workspace switcher shrinks and workspaces do not work corectly

2009-04-17 Thread Michal T
Than You Maykel!
I had the very same problem as Chris since Fiesty.. sometimes it worked mostly
not. Now it works nicely. Thanks again! :)
(had 2x2 after compiz 2 sections... top was 1x4 or 2x2 bottom was empty, now
it's as it should be.. 2x2)
