[Bug 1810840] Re: whoopsie can't remember "always report" setting

Can confirm that on Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS, whoopsie-preferences had not
previously been installed and I'm pretty sure I've not removed it.

[Bug 1644986] Re: Screen flickering since 16.10 upgrade

2016-12-06 Thread Miguel Guedes
This affects me too.

Wasn't an issue in Xubuntu 16.04 with three monitors plugged in to my
desktop machine. However, after upgrading to 16.10 I am now getting
occasional screen flickering that worsens in frequency over time. This
seems to occur when the mouse pointer travels across monitors, with the
worse flickering occurring on the primary monitor. Strangely,
suspending to RAM and resuming the machine seems to *reset* the issue
but not fix it.

There are several other visual glitches affecting Libreoffice too.

Let me know if you need me to gather any information about my machine.

[Bug 379873] Re: CPU Frequency Scaling Monitor reports incorrect CPU speeds when overclocked

2010-09-21 Thread Miguel Guedes
Suffering from this issue since ever I upped the BCLK frequency of my i7
930 -- the reported CPU freq does not reflect the actual Mobo settings
(CPU-Z on Windows does, for instance.)

Also, I'm with BearTM on this one. IMHO, this issue shouldn't be filed
under "OPINION" but rather under "CONFIRMED" given the proof that has
been produced so far. BTW, I'm refraining from attaching dumps and
whatnot as I don't think I'd add anything new.

[Bug 162470] Re: Amarok can't fast-forward FLAC files.

2010-07-15 Thread Miguel Guedes
I'm using Kubuntu but also have Gnome installed. Seeking FLAC files in
Rhythmbox (in Gnome or KDE) works as intended but it fails in Amarok (in
KDE) with the symptoms previous posters have described above.

I tried the solution strav posted (BTW: the package is phonon-backend-
gstreamer) but, after prioritizing Gstreamer over Xine in Multimedia
(System Settings), Amarok won't load and crashes all the time with a
segmentation fault.

Lastly, I also didn't try the solution Loïc Martin posted above since
I'd rather not mess with my precious FLAC files' metadata.

So, just confirming the bug still persists here and oddly affects only
the FLAC audio format.

BTW, by "panel background color" above I actually meant ICONS background
colors of 'trayed' applications.

[Bug 545852] Re: Alltray 0.69 Icons have wrong backgrounds in Lucid Beta1

2010-05-25 Thread Miguel Guedes
Doesn't work in my end either, Luke.

Did everything as you described in your post and, although I managed to
get the newly compiled & linked alltray to work, the panel background
color was now white instead of the color I'd manually set on the panel's
properties.

Thanks for the patch though!

PS: On Lucid.

I don't think Lucio's fix works given what I was able to understand from
his comments posted above by Michael. But I am too waiting for a fix to
the same issue :-). Screenshot: http://www.ubuntu-
