[Bug 372399] [NEW] tevent packaging problems in samba4

2009-05-05 Thread Miguel Pérez Colino
Public bug reported:

Library's headers for "tevent" are included with samba 4 but there is no
pkg-config file included.
When trying to compile against this library autoconf does not find and use it.

I attach a pkg-config content of a "/usr/lib/pkgconfig/tevent.pc" for the files
included as they are located now:
/usr/include/samba-4.0/tevent_internal.h
/usr/include/samba-4.0/tevent.h

May I also suggest to produce a libtevent and libtevent-dev package
separate from samba4-dev?

System: Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty
Package version dor samba4-dev: 4.0.0~alpha6-1ubuntu1

/usr/lib/pkgconfig/tevent.pc:

prefix=/usr
exec_prefix=${prefix}
libdir=${exec_prefix}/lib
includedir=${prefix}/include/samba-4.0

Name: tevent
Description: A generalized event loop handling
Version: 1.0.0
Libs: -L${libdir} -ltevent
Cflags: -I${includedir}
URL: http://www.samba.org/

Public bug reported:

SSSD is a system daemon. It's primary function is to provide access to
identity and authentication remote resource through a common framework
that can provide caching and offline support to the system. It provides
PAM and NSS modules, as well as D-BUS based interfaces. It provides also
a better database to store local users as well as extended user data.

Checked, and behaved just like commented.

start-stop-daemon with --test option should return the righrt value:

   -t, --test
  Print actions that would be taken and set appropriate return

I'd accept the suggested modification as a patch.

[Bug 372399] [NEW] tevent packaging problems in samba4

2009-05-05 Thread Miguel Pérez Colino
Public bug reported:

Library's headers for "tevent" are included with samba 4 but there is no
pkg-config file included.
When trying to compile against this library autoconf does not find and use it.

I attach a pkg-config content of a "/usr/lib/pkgconfig/tevent.pc" for the files
included as they are located now:
/usr/include/samba-4.0/tevent_internal.h
/usr/include/samba-4.0/tevent.h

May I also suggest to produce a libtevent and libtevent-dev package
separate from samba4-dev?

System: Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty
Package version dor samba4-dev: 4.0.0~alpha6-1ubuntu1

/usr/lib/pkgconfig/tevent.pc:

[Bug 293763] Re: [needs-packaging] swiggle

2009-04-17 Thread Miguel Pérez Colino
As you say you contacted the author, I have packaged swiggle already in my PPA
for jaunty.
Now if you want to, you can assign this bug to me (if you want to keep it, it
would be also OK)

It was my first time with packages and uploading, I had some problems
but I solved them (sometimes reading can help). I still have some
questions that I'll e-mail to you.

I will now upload it to REVU.

Thanks!

[Bug 369744] [NEW] [needs-packaging] sssd

2009-04-30 Thread Miguel Pérez Colino
Public bug reported:

SSSD is a system daemon. It's primary function is to provide access to
identity and authentication remote resource through a common framework
that can provide caching and offline support to the system. It provides
PAM and NSS modules, as well as D-BUS based interfaces. It provides also
a better database to store local users as well as extended user data.

Is part of the FreeIPA project which is also packaging pending as in LP:
#259547

[Bug 281033] Re: init script fails to start unbound with /bin/sh=dash

2008-11-11 Thread Miguel Pérez Colino
Checked, and behaved just like commented.

start-stop-daemon with --test option should return the righrt value:

   -t, --test
  Print actions that would be taken and set appropriate return
  value, but take no action.

I'd accept the suggested modification as a patch.

Also tried to contact the author.
I read the "swiggle.c" file and it specifies that the code is under BSD License.
Started trying to package it.

[Bug 372399] [NEW] tevent packaging problems in samba4

2009-05-05 Thread Miguel Pérez Colino
Public bug reported:

Library's headers for "tevent" are included with samba 4 but there is no
pkg-config file included.
When trying to compile against this library autoconf does not find and use it.

I attach a pkg-config content of a "/usr/lib/pkgconfig/tevent.pc" for the files
included as they are located now:
/usr/include/samba-4.0/tevent_internal.h
/usr/include/samba-4.0/tevent.h

May I also suggest to produce a libtevent and libtevent-dev package
separate from samba4-dev?

System: Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty
Package version dor samba4-dev: 4.0.0~alpha6-1ubuntu1

/usr/lib/pkgconfig/tevent.pc:

prefix=/usr
exec_prefix=${prefix}
libdir=${exec_prefix}/lib
includedir=${prefix}/include/samba-4.0

Name: tevent
Description: A generalized event loop handling
Version: 1.0.0
Libs: -L${libdir} -ltevent
Cflags: -I${includedir}
URL: http://www.samba.org/

[Bug 354672] Re: package texlive-base 2007.dfsg .1-5 failed to install/upgrade: el subproceso post-ins tallation script devolvió el código de salida de error 1

2009-05-06 Thread Miguel Pérez Colino
Seems to be a problem with old system-wide configuration files of tex-common.
A solution that worked once is:
$ sudo apt-get --purge remove tex-common
... and then reinstall texlive
Can anyone confirm that this works more than once?

P.S.: Use it at you own risk!
