[Bug 1856727] [NEW] Some videos don't work in chrome on kubuntu (Ubuntu 19.10) with the Plasma Integration plugin

2019-12-17 Thread Mike Cavedon
Public bug reported:

Videos at patriots.com hang when the Plasma Integration plugin is
enabled. For example: https://www.patriots.com/video/belichick-
breakdown-top-plays-against-the-bengals

Disabling the "Plasma Integration - Provides better integration with the
KDE Plasma 5 desktop" allows the videos to run

[Bug 1469722] [NEW] No sound from headphone jack

2015-06-29 Thread Mike Cavedon
Public bug reported:

I am on:

DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu
DISTRIB_RELEASE=14.04
DISTRIB_CODENAME=trusty
DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS"

Sound from the speakers works fine. I do not have any sound coming from
the headphone jack. When I plug in my headphones there is no sound
coming from the external speakers, which is expected. However, there is
no sound coming from the headset.

I realize this isn't enough info, however, just adding in case others
are seeing the same issue or if you have any guesses as to what I can
try, thanks.

[Bug 883404] Re: skype video cannot use microphone

2012-12-27 Thread Mike Cavedon
The following fixed it for me:

https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA11082/what-should-i-do-if-i-have-a
-problem-with-my-audio-quality-in-skype-for-linux

On Ubuntu, under System Settings - Sounds under the Input tab make sure
the input volume of the internal microphone is on

[Bug 863960] Re: reading IMAP inboxes doesn't work: "no such table: mem.INBOX"

2011-11-18 Thread Mike Cavedon
jrierab's recommendation worked for me.

I did lose the folders I created under "On This Computer" but I am
pretty sure it occurred prior to my performing the workaround.

Thanks jrierab.
