[Bug 1573221] Re: Regression on 4.3.8 upgrade: clients fail to connect
I noticed that after the update to 4.3.8 my smbd would not run at all. testparm gave me this: Load smb config files from /etc/samba/smb.conf rlimit_max: increasing rlimit_max (1024) to minimum Windows limit (16384) WARNING: Ignoring invalid value 'share' for parameter 'security' Error loading services. smbd would stay running with a barebones config, so I started trimming away at mine until it worked. It turns out that removing the line: security = share ; fixed my problem, even though it was supposedly being ignored. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1573221 Title: Regression on 4.3.8 upgrade: clients fail to connect To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/samba/+bug/1573221/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 362203] Re: Skype high CPU use on 9.04 using pulse (and audio recording/sending delay >5sec)
I've successfully used the following workaround posted in the Skype linux forums: pcm.paul { # paul is my name, you can use your name, just make sure you use it below too type dmix ipc_key 1024 slave { pcm "hw:0,0" period_time 0 period_size 1024 buffer_size 8192 #format "S32_LE" #periods 128 rate 44100 } } pcm.dsp0 { type plug slave.pcm "paul" } # This following device can fool some applications into using pulseaudio pcm.dsp1 { type plug slave.pcm "pulse" } ctl.mixer0 { type hw card 0 } pcm.pulse { type pulse } ctl.pulse { type pulse } pcm.!default { type pulse } ctl.!default { type pulse } Topic located at: http://forum.skype.com/index.php?showtopic=306381 Once I logged out and logged back in, I ran Skype, opened the options dialogue and changed both the "Sound Out" and "Ringing" sound devices to the newly-listed sound device. Also, my "Sound In" is set to HDA Intel. -- Skype high CPU use on 9.04 using pulse (and audio recording/sending delay >5sec) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/362203 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 366262] Re: Desktop is completely unresponsive after Jaunty upgrade
I'm having the same issue but have found a repeatable case. Everything loads fine on session start. The desktop disappears when I cut & paste from a local filesystem to a SFTP share in nautilus. I can work-around the problem by copy/pasting instead of cut/pasting. Also, if I forget and cause a crash, I can restart nautilus by running "nautilus" in the shell. I've attached a clean .xsession-errors file showing the crash in a new session. ** Attachment added: ".xsession-errors" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/27192379/.xsession-errors -- Desktop is completely unresponsive after Jaunty upgrade https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/366262 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
