[Bug 614677] [NEW] Removing all tracks from a playlist is very slow when the playlist is large

2010-08-07 Thread Mike.lifeguard
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: exaile

When you have a playlist with many songs (your whole library, perhaps),
the context menu doesn't have 'clear all' (or whatever), since anywhere
you click in the playlist area is a context menu for /that song/ instead
of for the playlist. That's bad, a per-song context menu should have
that option too - there isn't any 'background' to click on when the area
is full of songs. So, you CTRL+A and select 'remove' from the context
menu. The application appears to freeze for over a minute while the
operation is processed. I don't know if a 'clear all' operation would be
more efficient or not. If so, check whether all songs are selected and
use the more efficient operation if so. In any event, the efficiency of
large remove operations should be improved (if you select all but one,
it should still be fast).

ProblemType: Bug

[Bug 599057] [NEW] HTML rendered incorrectly

2010-06-27 Thread Mike.lifeguard
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: chromium-browser

I've collected a series of screenshots of incorrectly-rendered webpages.
For all of these, refreshing the page seems to correct the error. Note
that 2 (I think) are from Chrome, and the remainder are from Chromium.
So, this unsurprisingly appears to be a bug in the rendering engine for
both, and is not limited to Chromium.

The errors are that random parts of the underlying HTML are visible in
the page. This destroys the HTML element, so layout is affected beyond
just the text appearing where it shouldn't. Note that blank white pages
sometimes appear as well, but I didn't bother with screenshots (and they
were not PHP fatals).

[Bug 584706] [NEW] /me command (action) doesn't show your username

2010-05-23 Thread Mike.lifeguard
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: emesene

When you do /me performs an action, it should be displayed as Mike
performs an action not just performs an action. The username should
be displayed to both users so it is a full third-person statement of the
action.

This is a regression, as older versions of Emesene (Jaunty? Maybe
Karmic) did this properly.

ProblemType: Bug

Sorry, I'm not running experimental code; this is the standard lucid
package. As noted, this is intended behaviour, making this a design flaw
rather than a bug.

[Bug 576762] [NEW] Transmission indicator icon doesn't show/hide application window - usability regression

2010-05-06 Thread Mike.lifeguard
Public bug reported:

When the icon for Transmission was displayed in the notification area in

[Bug 383381] Re: Special keys on laptop don't work on Toshiba Satellite A100

2010-03-15 Thread Mike.lifeguard
Tried testing a daily-build kernel, but it rendered my system
unbootable. Is there something more stable I should try with? I'm using
2.6.31-19-generic at present.
