Probably corruption in your user's KDE cache.  Just delete the relevant
files in /var when not logged in to KDE.

For me, this problem is confirmed solved after deleting my user's KDE cache 
files in /var.  
Make sure to do this when you are not logged into KDE.

Reinstalling didn't work, but I think it could be related to the cache.
If you have this problem, try deleting your user's cache in /var.
