I have the same problem in Natty. Pressing Ctrl+H or using the menu has no result (except the "check" sign toggling next to the menu item). Offline contacts remain in view no matter the setting. [Bug 280224] Re: intrepid halt loop on alsa
Same for me, updated 8.04 to 8.10 and OS won't shut down or restart, always hangs on ALSA. Otherwise all sound works normal.
