[Bug 585135] [NEW] GBK encoding does not work in 4.7.0 beta1?
Public bug reported: My system is a 64bit maverick. After a recent upgrade to qt 4.7.0 beta1, GBK encoding does not work properly in qt-linked programs. For example, qterm. All chinese characters in GBK encoding are messed up. I tried a 32bit qterm package and it works properly, probably because the ia32-libs still includes a 4.6 version of qt. [Bug 576986] [NEW] xelatex does not recognize .pstex figures
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: texlive-base texlive-xetex 2009-7 Xfig can export a combined ps figure with two parts: a .pstex and a .pstex_t The .pstex file is actually a EPS file: last_step.pstex: PostScript document text conforming DSC level 2.0, type EPS But xelatex gives an error: ERROR: Unable to load picture or PDF file 'Figures/machine.pstex'. Then I changed the default postfix from .pstex to .ps or .eps, and it compiles without error. So the problem is that xelatex does not recognize .pstex figures, even after I added a line in my tex file: \DeclareGraphicsExtensions{.eps,.ps,.eps.gz,.ps.gz,.eps.Z,.EPS,.pdf,.PDF,.pstex} By the way, latex can compile correctly. ** Affects: texlive-base (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- xelatex does not recognize .pstex figures https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/576986 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 560859] Re: My swap memory gets full after 5-6hours of computer usage on 10.04
Another observation is that when I try to disable swap when the system becomes so slow, sudo swapoff -a It fails, and gives an error like Cannot allocate memory. I'm wondering if this is related to xorg or intel video driver. When the memory is occupied, cat /proc/dri/0/gem_objects shows more than 1G object bytes. I remember last year, there was a serious memory leakage in intel video driver. [Bug 490006] [NEW] Qt does not respect DPI setting
Public bug reported: In my Karmic, although I set all font sizes as 10, qt apps always display a smaller font that gtk apps. After some investigation, I found that the DPI setting in gnome is 96, but $ xdpyinfo | grep reso resolution:94x94 dots per inch $ xrdb -q Xft.dpi: 96 After setting DPI to 94 in gnome, I got a same font size in both qt and gtk apps. But I think 96 is a more accurate value for my monitor. So I tried to set DPI in ~/.fonts.conf match target=pattern edit name=dpi mode=assign double96/double /edit /match But Qt doesn't respect that setting.
