[Bug 1882943] Re: Dell Latitude 5591, i7-8850H, sig=0x906ea/20200609, Boot freezes silently after 'intel-microcode' upgrade
Microcode's signature was 0x000906ea back then which also fits the current value. After upgrading Dell's firmware in early September I simply removed `dis_ucode_ldr` flag and the system boots just fine. By looking at firmware's release date 14/Jul/2020, it's a bit strange the upgrade was only available from September. Correct, Ubuntu 20.04 LTS/focal. Results of upgrading intel-microcode package to 3.20200609.0ubuntu0.20.04.2: 1) First reboot was successful (without dis_ucode_ldr flag) 2) Second and following reboots froze again, the behaviour is now the same as stated in #1883002. 3) Workaround: Grub's dis_ucode_ldr flag fixes the problem, at least on a temporary basis. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1882943 Title: Boot freezes silently after 'intel-microcode' upgrade To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/intel-microcode/+bug/1882943/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1784152] Re: i2c_hid_get_input floods system logs
I'm having the same issue with my Mi Notebook Pro (I'm using debian buster with 4.18 kernel). To fix that I compiled the i2c-hid module replacing dev_err with dev_err_once - so I still can see the "incomplete report" but only once and not 20 times per second (during sliding finger over the touchpad). [Bug 1082511] [NEW] wrong drag drop behaviour between desktop and folders
Public bug reported: (Sry - new guy - I hope, that I selected right package and write all important info.) Thunar 1.2.3 (Xfce 4.8) Xubuntu 12.04.1 LTS, fully updated When I drag file from the desktop to any folder, I can use Control/Shift key and select between coping or pasting as expected. But when I drag any file from any folder TO the desktop, small icon with + appears in right corner (that looks right) but file is moved, not copied. Using Control/Shift key changes small move/copy icon in the corner, but no change in real behaviour - file is moved everytime. And I am not able to copy it just with using drag drop. Using Control C and Control V works as expected. Hope it helps... ** Affects: thunar (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1082511 Title: wrong drag drop behaviour between desktop and folders To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/thunar/+bug/1082511/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 836250] Re: [Oneiric] [Regression] Intel Corporation Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 poor networking, packet loss and very slow Lenovo X201 and T500 laptops
I can confirm this bug - Ubuntu 11.10 64bit. I'm using wifi card Intel centrino advanced-n 6230 and the connection is VERY slow. When I try any other wifi card with another chipset, it works fine (Atheros, Broadcom..). This hack works for me: Create a file /etc/modprobe.d/intel_11n_disable.conf containing : options iwlagn 11n_disable=1 sudo update-initramfs -u reboot or sudo modprobe -r iwlagn sudo modprobe iwlagn Can we expect any patch for 11.10? [Bug 636819] Re: F-spot error: Value is greater than Int32.MaxValue or less than Int32.MinValue
I can confirm that changing future date (whose timestamp is greater than 32 bit signed integer) to smaller value solves the problem. To change the date, edit FSpot database (in my case it was ~/.config/f-spot/photos.db) with sqlite manager and execute the following query: update photos set time=[new_timestamp_which_is_less_then_max_int32] where id=[id_of_photo_in_question] If you have many photos with wrong timestamp, you can try to modify the above query to update all of them at once e.g.: update photos set time=[new_timestamp_which_is_less_then_max_int32] where time 20 -- F-spot error: Value is greater than Int32.MaxValue or less than Int32.MinValue https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/636819 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 199883] Re: noise at login, mixer setting problem?
I am also affected by this problem. I don't know if it is correct path but think that this noise can be stopped by muting CD or AUX input line on the soundcard. I've two saa7134 cards but only one of them is connected to the soundcard (integrated with my mainboard). I checked the audio preferences: System - Preferences - Audio: and in Hardware tab I was turning on and off both of the cards. When I turned on again the one card which is connected by the cable to the soundcard I noticed the same noice. So I think that the possible workaround could be to mute CD or AUX on system shutdown and unmute after session loads but I haven't tried this yet. -- noise at login, mixer setting problem? https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/199883 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
