[Bug 303140]

2024-09-27 Thread Mkmelin+mozilla
(In reply to Kai Engert (:KaiE:) from comment #57)
> Magnus, besides the delete attachment / detach attachment functionality, are
> you aware of any simpler code that we have, which modifies a message and
> replaces its storage (either local or on the server)?

Not that I can think of.
However, we currently disable the menu, but is it actually not working? I
thought we disabled it since it would invalidate the signature.

I wouldn't change the wording, but instead have a don't-remind-me-again
warning dialog explain that this will turn this signature invalid.

2021-03-05 Thread Mkmelin+mozilla
Maybe you want to provide a patch?
For addressbook it registers itself here:
https://searchfox.org/comm-central/rev/e80a66e5cdd9fe3915b7979cbf3d7467bcb70cfa/mailnews/addrbook/modules/components.conf#17
 then handles it here:
https://searchfox.org/comm-central/rev/e80a66e5cdd9fe3915b7979cbf3d7467bcb70cfa/mailnews/addrbook/modules/AddrBookManager.jsm#526-539
I don't know if calendar has a suitable module to piggyback on, or if creating
a new module is better.

[Bug 1085]

2021-01-22 Thread Mkmelin+mozilla
I think this bug has it's merits, you'd just select and copy what data
you want. For a xul widget that might be hard, but for an html widget
it'd be quite natural.

I often find I'd like to copy all the mailboxes listed, a single one is
of less value.

For 327621, I think the current address only should stay, though we
should figure something out for "full mailbox".

nit: no need to name the function. Also, 0 is the default so not needed.

Anyway, it may or may not fix the issue depending on your system. So a bit of a
hack papering over the real problem.
If we do take it, add a comment to explain why it's there.

Well IMAP is available by default. In this case (like bug 1598861) IMAP

[Bug 109943]

2019-10-23 Thread Mkmelin+mozilla
xul:progressmeter was converted to html:progress. But looks like it's still
reproducible at least on linux.
In scratchpad or console, do

document.getElementById("tabmail-
container").appendChild(document.createElementNS("http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml";,
"progress"));

... and check CPU usage. For me it goes to around 20% and stays there.

Can also reproduce on Firefox nightly. There in the Developer Tools |
Console

document.getElementById("urlbar").appendChild(document.createElementNS("http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml";,
"progress"));

The only difference is that there it jumps from listing Firefox to "GPU
process" and back. It's still Firefox causing it.

Well it does. I agree a pref for something like this is not the way to go.
Sorry for the delay, but this bug is very confusing. Fine tuning the behaviour
is fine by me, but I think you need to do it separately for each case. The
current patch changes behaviours that shouldn't change.

I don't think we need to worry much about abuse, it's really easy to do already
if you're inclined to do so.
I do think servers these days are pickier than they used to so often it's not
allowed to use an alias, or (e.g. gmail) they "fix" the sender if it's not one
they accept. It would be good to communicate this somehow.

[Bug 956618]

2015-02-20 Thread Mkmelin+mozilla
As seen in the past every minor change might get someones use-case slightly
wrong.
We have usually let patches bake through aurora+beta before esr, but with 38
coming up soonish I think what gets into 31esr should also be stricter.

Based on other reports, there may be something fishy happening regarding
popularityindex, but I haven't had time to investigate that yet.

So, at this point it probably has most of the security holes that were fixed

Hmm, Thomas has some point. So here's what I think we should do:

if (nick == aSearchString)
  return BEST+1;
if (nickIndex == 0)
  return BEST;

r=mkmelin, with that and test adjusted to pass (if needed)

You don't need the nick == aSearchString
But, this doesn't quite do what this bug requests. What is requested is that
nick should act as a "super-best" match. so the score should be 1 better than
if it matched in display name - as is they would be equal (BEST + 1)

Please also adjust the test for this. There should be one test where the
nick is the beginning of another persons name.

You don't need the if I think. All the other props are also just set to
undefined if not set. Also, please lowerCamelCase NickName
