[Bug 685016] [NEW] ~/.zekr directory shouldn't be owned by root!
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: zekr There is a problem in installing Zekr on Ubuntu 10.10. When I was installing zekr using apt-get a message window poped up informing me that Uthman-Taha experimental theme cannot be used.\nInstall ttf-me-quran to enable Uthman-Taha theme and another message window poped up afterwards. 1. These information message windows should only be shown when a normal user launches zekr, not when zekr is getting installed using apt-get 2. The installation process creates ~/.zekr directory owned by the root in the current user's home directory! This will be troublesome for the current user. The resolution: I noticed that /usr/bin/zekr has been changed in the new version. The removal of the if [ -z $* ]; at the very beginning of the /usr/bin/zekr script has introduced this bug. Infact we have tested this on a few fresh installation of Ubuntu. I think this is because a dependency package, velocity, has been upgraded to a newer version which is not compatible with zekr0.5. Public bug reported: I asked people in ubuntu-muto irc channel to merge libcommons-io-java(1.3.1.dfsg.1-1) from http://packages.debian.org/unstable/libs/libcommons-io-java to gutsy, but it seems that build for libcommons-io-java(1.3.1.dfsg.1-1) has been failed in gutsy. please take a look at http://packages.ubuntu.com/gutsy/libs/libcommons-io-java: the source code of 1.3.1.dfsg.1-1 is merged but the binary version is still 1.0-3. The strange issue is that when I locally tests it in my gutsy pbuilder, it is built successfully. Also I asked help from Michael Koch (debian maintainer of this package) about this issue and he confirmed that in his gutsy pbuilder locally it works fine; He guesses it might be a sync bug. I need 1.3.1.dfsg for a package I am debianizing.
