[Bug 578243] Re: zabbix-agentd problem when use server=localhost parameter
This happens for me too: the default configuration of Server=localhost doesn't work, so Zabbix doesn't monitor its own host. [Bug 546393] Re: MacBook Pro 5, 1 / 5, 2 / 5, 3 / 5, 5 fails to boot into 10.04 desktop
I can't help with testing the kernel, but I had the problem in this bug report when I upgraded from a daily alternate image a few days after Beta 1. I fixed my system by booting the recovery mode with nomodeset appended to the grub boot command, and then ran the manual nvidia install shown in the known issues for http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/lucid/alpha2 - the bit about Jockey not supporting the Nvidia alternates system. I then rebooted and the nvidia kernel module failed to load, but the vesa fallback worked. I then reinstalled nvidia-common and it worked, fixing the nvidia driver. Hope that helps as a workaround, I don't know if it will still work at this point. -- MacBook Pro 5,1 / 5,2 / 5,3 / 5,5 fails to boot into 10.04 desktop https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/546393 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 356493] [NEW] [Quanta UW1] suspend/resume failure
Public bug reported: The problem occurs when trying to suspend or hibernate using the power button (and resulting menu) or by leaving the netbook until the battery runs low and then it tries to hibernate. The problem occurs when trying to suspend or hibernate, not in waking up. It happens every time. The symptom is that I get a black text mode screen with a flashing cursor in the top left corner. Nothing responds, and I need to hold down the power button to power it off. When I power back on, there is no sign of resuming - it does a normal boot up. This is a new model of netbook - Quanta UW1 - and suspend/hibernate have not ever worked with it (on Intrepid or Jaunty). ProblemType: KernelOops Annotation: This occured during a previous suspend and prevented it from resuming properly. Architecture: i386 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04 ExecutablePath: /usr/share/apport/apportcheckresume Failure: suspend/resume InterpreterPath: /usr/bin/python2.6 MachineType: Quanta UW1 Package: linux-image-2.6.28-11-generic 2.6.28-11.38 ProcAttrCurrent: unconfined ProcCmdLine: root=UUID=bdef2fb9-3a63-47f4-86b8-28d4b42a516b ro quiet splash ProcCmdline: /usr/bin/python /usr/share/apport/apportcheckresume ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, no user) ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.28-11.38-generic SourcePackage: linux StressLog: Error: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/var/lib/pm-utils/stress.log' Tags: resume suspend Title: [Quanta UW1] suspend/resume failure UserGroups: ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-kerneloops i386 resume suspend -- [Quanta UW1] suspend/resume failure https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/356493 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 356493] Re: [Quanta UW1] suspend/resume failure
Following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelSuspendHibernateResume, there was no flashing caps lock light. I ran both (sudo) pm-suspend and pm-hibernate from the console, and there was no output visible - in both cases immediately the screen was cleared and I saw the flashing cursor at the top left of a blank console screen. There was no HDD activity during this time, and the power light did not flash - it stayed solid. Alt-SysRq-R-E-I-S-U-B did result in the machine rebooting. -- [Quanta UW1] suspend/resume failure https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/356493 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 330197] Re: New upstream version: sugar-terminal-activity 21
Good points. .po files are shipped with Sugar activities on the OLPC XO, in the theoretical hope that teh childrenz!!1! will be able to fix bad translations themselves and that some peer-to-peer translation distribution mechanism would be developed. That's definitely out of scope for Ubuntu, so I'll remove the po files. [Bug 329033] [NEW] [hardy sru] Need rebuild against newer xulrunner
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: hulahop xulrunner-1.9 1.9.0.6 landed in hardy. sugar-hulahop was built against 1.9.0.5. Since the path changes to libxul, we need a rebuild against 1.9.0.6. Since hardy has a different sourcepackage to intrepid and jaunty, this has been logged as a separate bug. It was fixed for sugar-hulahop in jaunty in bug 328033. jaunty does not have the hulahop package, but it's fundamentally the same as sugar- hulahop. The impact of the bug is that Sugar's web browser based on xulrunner (sugar-web-activity) fails to start because the libxul.so path has changed. This is a very important package for Sugar, and prevents Sugar users from running their web browser. The fix is a simple rebuild against the current xulrunner-1.9, so the risk is minimal for doing this to the stable releases. Jaunty has been fixed by a no changes upload to sugar-hulahop 0.4.8~dfsg-3ubuntu4. The debdiff will be attached. TEST CASE: Install sugar and sugar-activities. Launch Sugar by running sugar-emulator. Press F3 to see the Home View. The icons along the bottom of the frame launch activities. Click on the Browse icon. If the icon pulses at the centre of the screen for several seconds and then disappears, it failed. If a web browser appears, then it succeeded. Quit the sugar emulator by pressing alt-q. Since the browser completely fails to launch now, and the fix is simply a rebuild, there's no risk of further regression. ** Affects: hulahop (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [hardy sru] Need rebuild against newer xulrunner https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/329033 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
