The problem is most likely that you ran sugar and not sugar-emulator from the menu. Please try the Sugar Emulator menu option (which could be under Applications/Other). The Sugar option should be removed from debian/sugar.menu as it causes confusion. [Bug 325706] Re: [jaunty] Xephyr fails with D-Bus AccessDenied
A consequence of the D-Bus change is that allow own but be explicitly specified in /etc/dbus-1/system.d/xorg-server.conf, so to run Xephyr on :2 it must specify allow own=org.x.config.display2/. The impact of this bug is that the Sugar web browser fails to start. There is no fix to backport - just a rebuild against the newer xulrunner-1.9 will fix it. Is it still installed on Intrepid? python-olpc-datastore needs to replace and conflict with with sugar- datastore from hardy. -- package python-olpc-datastore 0.82.0-1 failed to install/upgrade: https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/289639 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 288640] [NEW] gparted crash resizing fat32
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gparted This is with gparted 0.3.8-1ubuntu2 on intrepid. I resized a fat32 partition on an external firewire drive. It completed the actual resize, and was in the stage of growing the filesystem. This seemed to be taking forever and I left it overnight. The next day gparted had died and I have some output (attached) since I ran it from a terminal. The fat32 partition had been mounted by this stage - I think after dosfsck completed. It didn't sound good that it was still busy but on a mounted partition. The partition seems OK - the data is apparently all right. ** Affects: gparted (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- gparted crash resizing fat32 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/288640 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 286764] Re: package python-hulahop 0.4.6-0ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade:
The hardy binpackage was hulahop. The intrepid package, synced from debian, is python-hulahop (source sugar-hulahop). hulahop has been dropped from intrepid. This transition needs to be handled. -- package python-hulahop 0.4.6-0ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/286764 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Hi James I don't have a hardy box around any more, I'll try to set up a VM to test.
