Re: [Bug 319458] Re: Weird panel behavior
Sorry I didn't take any screenshot and the behavior is quite random. I'll try to explain it in few lines though. When i bring up any file or app the panel seems to shake quite feverishly something like how an object appears when it's under water in a pool and there's ripple in the water. Sorry for that explanation :-), don't know if it makes any sense but thats' the closest i could think about. Re: [Bug 318945] Re: Empty screen on Konsole
Hi, Thanks for your prompt response. Here's some detail I've Kubuntu 8.10 which i upgraded to JJ 9.01. 1. After OS upgrade, avant window navigator app crashed possibly due to lack of support in 9.01, following which konsole started behaving weirdly. 2. I've konsole (KDE terminal and not gnome-terminal) and I had expected it to work normally even though avant crashed. 3. KDE crashed subsequently and even after logging back in konsole was broken. I had to bring up a new instance. Yes, it happened few times. I didn't try entering "reset" as i couldn't see anything on konsole, no prompt, no cursor, so was not sure it could really accept any input. Thanks again, Murali. [Bug 22096] Re: toshiba_acpi does not work on Toshiba Tecra M2 laptop
I did switch to the Beta 8.10 release running 2.6.27-4. Unfortunately, now several things related to acpi have stopped working: 1. The toshiba-acpi kernel module itself seems to be missing. Thus, the Fn + keys for controlling brightness, etc., don't work at all. 2. I can still choose Hibernate from the power settings, but all that does is lock the screen and ask for the password.
If I do log out, and get back to the username prompt, and then choose Hibernate, then it works. tog -- toshiba_acpi does not work on Toshiba Tecra M2 laptop https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/22096 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 261318] Re: Regression: new Toshiba Laptop Support (tlsup) driver breaks Toshiba hotkeys; input device does not support 'kbd' input handler
I have the same problem as above, in that I don't see the Suspend option. Running it from a shell blanks the screen, and immediately I then get a prompt for my password as if it is waking up. I cannot suspend or hibernate as long as I am logged in to my account. Running Hibernate from the main username/password prompt does work though. tog -- Regression: new Toshiba Laptop Support (tlsup) driver breaks Toshiba hotkeys; input device does not support 'kbd' input handler https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/261318 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
