@harsha-ellanti, You can disable USB-3 support on your laptop's BIOS. @martin, this issue only fixed by Lenovo BIOS engineers. There is not different way to it... Hi guys It look that the issue is not about Ubuntu. Probably lenovo bios not supported Gnu/Linux kernel. I have been sended a couple of tweets to Offical Lenovo Accout. I think that Lenovo enginers intrested in fixing the issue.. Hi guys, Today I have buyed a new Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 540, I have same issue about the suspending. It is tried on ubuntu 14.04. My bios information: - BIOS Information Vendor: LENOVO Version: J9ET91WW (2.11 ) Release Date: 07/04/2014 Address: 0xE Runtime Size: 128 kB ROM Size: 16384 kB Characteristics: PCI is supported PNP is supported BIOS is upgradeable BIOS shadowing is allowed Boot from CD is supported Selectable boot is supported ACPI is supported USB legacy is supported BIOS boot specification is supported Targeted content distribution is supported UEFI is supported BIOS Revision: 2.11 Firmware Revision: 2.11 When Usb3 is disabled on the bios, my laptop is suspended on success. I think that this bug about disabled Usb3.
