Binary package hint: ltsp-server-standalone

I have installed test case: Install (LTSP server)

[Bug 447226] Re: gdm does not start after bootup

2009-12-12 Thread Nathan Murray
I just did a fresh install of Ubuntu 9.10 64 bit. My gdm is not
starting at boot. I took my nVidia graphics card out 8800 GTS and this
became a problem in i386 install. I did a fresh install today and now I
in the new install gdm is still not launching. I am using Nvidia
chipset MCP51. Graphics card is GeForce 6150.

[Bug 422536] Re: EDAC amd64: WARNING: ECC is NOT currently enabled by the BIOS. Module will NOT be loaded.

2009-10-31 Thread Nathan Murray
I have this error message up in my taskbar, It doesn't seem to affect
the system at all. Once the fix is applied I apply but unless it
effects the system or apps I would deal with other issues that are
crashing the OS. Running 64bit 9.10. Did not recall seeing the error
before I install the 64bit OS.

[Bug 245603] Re: ACX100-based wireless network card not working after update to 2.6.24-19 kernel

2009-04-20 Thread Nathan Murray
I installed Ubuntu 9.04 RC1, without blacklisting the ACX module system
load floated around 3.0. Not sure y this is, once the module is
blacklisted system load is lowered to normal levels.

Using Ndiswrapper and system load is back to normal. I can connect to
WIFI network via Ndiswrapper without increasing system loads.

I have upgraded to the latest development version as of 09-13-2008. I
did what I call a dirty upgrade from hardy and seem to be getting the
above error. I will look at the bug listed above and see if it offers
any help.

[Bug 180103] Clock 2.20.1

2008-01-03 Thread Nathan Murray
Public bug reported:

I am running Hardy Alpaha 2 with current updates as of 01-03-2008 and I
am not able to change the time zone info with Clock 2.20.1 in the upper
task panel. I sent the time via the command line but it appears to have
updated its shelf back to the America / New York time zone.

I also have network time servers install ntp package and it will not
allow me to select a time server. Unlock button on within Adjust time
and date does not require admin rights to unlock.

Possible bugs?

[Bug 85969] Java Doc

I think the issue could possibly lie in the matter that there is no root

try top install it self with every package that I add to the system.

[Bug 78309] Substitute package

2007-01-26 Thread Nathan Murray
I have installed libungif4-dev in place of libgif-dev.

After running the ./configure script for Mplayer it know says that I now
have GIF support.

It is ok to install it this way but what happens when a package depends
on libungif4-dev. The alternative method has worked for me. I have
read up on the Debian bug and it seems that this is something that will
work its self out in some time.

Thanks for the tip. It worked.

[Bug 78205] Re: major usb detection problems in feisty

2007-01-07 Thread Nathan Murray
I have attempted to recreate this problem on my system. The first time
I scanned an image I used xsane version 0.991 setting of line art. The
image was poor quality. The second scan I did was in color and appears
to be good.

The system that I used to test against the above issue was Kubuntu 7.04
fiesty. As of Sun, 7 Jan 2007 07:56:00 -0600 I believe all updates
have been applied.

I have enclosed the id of my scanner below.

Bus 003 Device 002: ID 03f0:0201 Hewlett-Packard ScanJet 6200c

Hope this helps someone.

Unable to confirm at this point in time.

[Bug 78309] Broken Package - libgif-dev

2007-01-07 Thread Nathan Murray
Public bug reported:

I attempted to install libgif-dev so that Mplayer could use and see

The following information may help to resolve the situation:
