The order of set up is as below: - Installed 12.04 - Ran the updates using update manager - Restart machine - Added ppa - Ran updates using sudo apt-get update and sudo apt-get dist-upgrade - installed Nvidia-current driver -Restart machine Additional info- I tried NvidiaXserver-settings - display configuration - twin mode, 2nd monitor display was back to normal. We used the restart/shut down options available in the system indicator menu on the top right of the panel. We also tried a manual restart by pressing the button on the CPU. @ Daniel - No, unity does not respond to Super or Escape, only the mouse pointer is movable at this time. Please note that the issue in the attached video happened when we tried to use the mouse to click on different launcher icons, for a while nothing happened and suddenly it started opening all app windows on its own and continuously flickering. During the hang we were unable to report the bug through Apport. So far, it has not been possible to reproduce the one shown in this video. Week 40 - Same issue observed on Ubuntu 12.10 with ppa:unity-team/ppa Test case ID - CAN 27 - UNITY_ Test Alt+F1 NavMode Quicklist Click Exit Issue 1:- When in keynav mode, right click using mouse on dash icon and clicking any of the options in the quicklist shown fails to exit keynav mode and does not activate the option chosen by the user. Only when the user clicks anywhere on the screen, the chosen option gets activated. Additional info- When in keynav mode, use the arrows to highlight any other icon apart from dash. Now right click and choose any option apart from unlock from launcher in the quicklist, this works fine. It fails to work only with dash as explained in issue 1 above. Issue 2:- Right click on unlock from launcher option in the quicklist, fails to exit the keynav mode. Action: - Open software center - Install any application or game - Observe Issue 2: The application icon is pushed to the launcher only at the end of installation. (Enter the password and continue till the end). Maybe test case needs to be re-written as the expected result will not occur until installation reaches the very end?
