[Bug 995418] Re: LO calc creates malformed links to external Excel-sheets

2012-08-25 Thread Nick Alderweireldt
I tried with libreoffice 3.6 from this ppa :
http://www.muktware.com/4122/install-libreoffice-36-ubuntulinux-mint-ppa

The links are not any more corrupted using the .xls file format. The
.xlsx file format still does not keep the links.

[Bug 995418] Re: LO calc creates malformed links to external Excel-sheets

2012-08-25 Thread Nick Alderweireldt
I can confirm the bug using 3.5.4 in Mint (ubuntu 12.04).
When saving the file with the links as .xls I also see the malformed linknames
(part of the name is doubled) giving an error function at reloading the file.
Correcting the link with edit link is possible but the update does not happen.
With saving as .xlsx the link simply disappear by reloading the file.
It was the same behaviour with 3.5.2.
Maybe I should try the very recent 3.5.6.

[Bug 728745] Re: [nvidia, 7300, 7400] display freeze when using unity desktop

2011-08-21 Thread Nick Alderweireldt
Confirm unity freeze after update to 11.04. Panel was empty. The Dash
and the launchers were visible but there was no action visible when
clicking on whatever app or file.

Changed nvidia driver to version 173 and it seems to work now.

[Bug 360415] Re: blender GUI 3d view, icons and material preview distorted

2009-05-02 Thread Nick Alderweireldt
Thanks Michael and mouchon.
I confirm that the offset is gone after changing "uxa" to "exa" in xorg.conf.
The other problems (button icons; screen refreshing) are gone as well. Blender
is now usable.

[Bug 360415] Re: blender GUI 3d view, icons and material preview distorted

2009-05-01 Thread Nick Alderweireldt
I added the jaunty repos marked in the link and did an update.
The result is different. Blender is still not usable. I have icons in the
buttons. So that one is solved. But the mouse does not work correct. The mouse
pointer is 2 entries lower as than the highlighted entry in the menu. It
generates screenfragments inside and outside the blender window. Hovering the
mouse over an icons makes a copy of it 2 cm higher as long as the mouse is on
the icon.

[Bug 360415] Re: blender GUI 3d view, icons and material preview distorted

2009-04-29 Thread Nick Alderweireldt
Sorry. Forgot to tell that I am using xserver-xorg-video-intel 2.2.7
with uxa enabled. However the result with the jaunty default 2.2.6
version with exa or uxa gives the same result. Reverting to intrepids
2.2.4 version did not help either.

I confirm the bug. Blender is unusable.
2.6.30-020630rc2-generic #020630rc2 SMP Wed Apr 15 14:00:27 UTC 2009 i686
GNU/Linux
blender 2.48a and 2.49 windowed and full
Distorted GUI. Changing from 'sequence' to 'model' or 'animation' does not
clean up the previous windows. The default cube at start up is white. Button
have no icons in them. Only the 'sequence' mode cleans up the windows.

[Bug 44131] Re: no audio playback from the blender sequencer.

2009-03-31 Thread Nick Alderweireldt
Problem is solved in jaunty. This is what I did.
Add SDL_AUDIODRIVER=alsa to /etc/environment
Disable pulseaudio (delete packages)
Download blender from the blender site
Start blender from the blender folder with ./blender -g noaudio.
I also compiled ffmpeg and x264 from svn.

I am not sure that this is all necessary. I did not test blender after
each step. (sorry for that)

Yes. I have done a fresh install. No sound with blender from the repos.
The suggestions above did not work.

[Bug 233942] Re: genisoimage generates wrong DVD-Video images

2008-10-04 Thread Nick Alderweireldt
Installing genisoimage version 1.1.6.3 with the .deb from gutsy solved the
problem. I had to install devede with the tarball from the devede website
because devede from the repository wanted to reinstall genisoimage.
I tried before with 1.1.8 (.deb package) as suggested higher in this bugreport,
but that did not work.

[Bug 179521] hugin PTmender does not save panorama TIFF_m files

2007-12-31 Thread Nick Alderweireldt
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: hugin

I am running ubuntu gutsy 32 bit. Hugin (0.7 beta4-1) used with PTmender
as stitching engine starts : converting image 1/2 100 %, converting
image 2/2 100% and then it stops. There are no files saved.

If i select adjusting color and brightness i get following message :
Warning: PTmender (from panotools 2.9 or later) only supports TIFF_m output.
For color and brightness correction, the resulting tiff files must be processed
with PTblender.

after selecting to continue the images are converted 100%; histograms
read 100%, color and brightness adjusted 50% and again histograms read
100%. The info window disappears and again no files are saved.

In both cases i used multiple TIFF as output file.

I started hugin from terminal. There are no error messages. I do not know where
I could find others error logs that could help me find the problem.
I have dropped the same problem with a couple of screenshots on the mailing
list of panotools :
http://www.nabble.com/PTmender-does-not-save-the-result-to14545703.html
But this seems more a microsoft oriented site.

Is there anything I can do to supply further useful information ?
