[Bug 408306] Re: Wireless not connecting to AP, no IP address assigned through DHCP
Kernel 2.6.31-9 using rt2800usb now allows network manager to enumerate b/g/n networks, although all show as full strength, but will not connect. Have had to revert to rt2870sta. -- Wireless not connecting to AP, no IP address assigned through DHCP https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/408306 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 408306] Re: Wireless not connecting to AP, no IP address assigned through DHCP
I haven't been able to get the staging driver to work. It is odd that both drivers seem to be loaded in karmic. Is there any way of successfully using an rt2870-based wireless card under karmic? -- Wireless not connecting to AP, no IP address assigned through DHCP https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/408306 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

It does look like that's true, although I also appear to have rt2870sta being loaded from the staging directory, and I am unable to build the latest rt2870sta on the latest karma -- Wireless not connecting to AP, no IP address assigned through DHCP https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/408306 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I have the same problem with a D-Link DWA-140. rt2870sta worked, rt2800usb doesn't. [Bug 150193] Re: Remote Login via XDMCP is not working in Ubuntu Gusty/7.10
I don't know whether this helps, but it seems to be a problem with the 7.10 remote login. I set up 2 machines, 1 Feisty, and one Gutsy. The fiesty machine can login to Gutsy and Feisty systems, but the Gutsy machine cannot connect to any remote systems with XDMCP. This happens with Ubuntu and Xubuntu (I haven't tested Kubuntu). These machines are still 'vanilla', so if I ca be of any assistance, please let me know.
