That's seems to be fixed in latest version, probably through this
modification:

  * d/apparmor-profile.abstraction:
Allow running dash/bash with inherited AppArmor profile.
GDesktopAppInfo in GLib 2.64.x uses a one-line shell script to carry
out some setup when launching .desktop files, for example as a
URL handler. (Closes: #954013)

Zotero is a bibliography tool (https://www.zotero.org/). When I double
click on a pdf in it, it opens the pdf file using the default system
tool, here evince, and triggers that evince error.

out yet, as I updated my system to latest packages available for 19.04

And to answer your question, no, I didn't alter resolvconf behavior when
running 14.04. When forcing a "dpkg --configure -a", and then a "apt-get
-f install", it seems to fix that problem and I have a properly running
system.

I tried to upgrade another computer from 15.10 and didn't encounter that
problem, I got systemd upgrade error BTW, but it was fixed by the
automatic "dpkg --configure -a" run at the end.

[Bug 1536353] [NEW] [regression] Printer drivers install is broken as lsb package is not available anymore

2016-01-20 Thread Nicolas DERIVE
Public bug reported:

Starting with Xenial, lsb compatibility packages were dropped (besides
lsb-release and lsb-base):

lsb (9.20150826) unstable; urgency=low

  * Drop all the LSB compatibility packages besides lsb-release and lsb-base
- Drop packages-availability checking in lsb-release
- Truncate README.Debian to a minimum
- Document this in lsb-base.NEWS.Debian
  * Change the versioning number to avoid any ambiguity; use joeyh's
version.date, with version being Debian next stable's

 -- Didier Raboud Wed, 26 Aug 2015 12:00:00 +0200

The problem is that downloadable printer drivers (like the ones from
Openprinting, but also from other available providers) that are
suggested when installing a printer on Ubuntu depends on lsb, which is
not available anymore:

epson-inkjet-printer-201106w:
Dépend: lsb (>=3.2) but it is not installable

This triggers a regression where it is not possible to setup a printer
this way (downloading a driver where no local driver is available)
anymore.

I see two possible solutions:

- Add a proper replaces field to one of the remaining lsb-* packages, to
hopefully fix missing lsb package (maybe it would be useful to also
replace other compability packages that are not built anymore).

- Re-introduce LSB compatibility packages, but that might be an
overkill.

Also add system-config-printer, as this problem breaks part of it, and
as it doesn't output any installation error whereas driver is not
installed due to missing dep.

[Bug 1510510] [NEW] Error with geotagging (fixed position defined as geotag)

2015-10-27 Thread Nicolas DERIVE
Public bug reported:

When tacking photographs using camera-app, I experience various problems
with geotagging. Sometimes I don't get any geotag (picture 1.jpg) and
most of the time I got a wrong geocoding, that is always the same, and
some place I never went to (2.jpg, 3.jpg are examples of photos with
known places to demonstrate that, Versailles castle orangeraie and
Eiffel tower in France).

If more info/tests are needed, don't hesitate to ask.

[Bug 1505722] [NEW] Add ability to choose to view Desktop version of a website

2015-10-13 Thread Nicolas DERIVE
Public bug reported:

Rationale:

There's a lot of situation where website detect Ubuntu webbrowser as
"android", and want to force us to download the Android app. There's
also some situations where we prefer to display desktop version of a
website instead of the mobile one.

Both these situations can be fixed on the website side, but we all know
that it won't solve the whole problem. Adding specific overrides may
also improve the situation, but we won't be able to add overrides for
everything, and sometimes it's great to be able to view both mobile and
desktop websites, depending on the situation.

Solution:

It would be great to add, as Chrome or Firefox already do on mobile
platform, a menu item to switch between mobile and desktop browser-
agents, and reload the webpage.

2015-10-09 Thread Nicolas DERIVE
@awe : sure it was not supposed to have been enabled and it will be
fixed in the next OTA apparently. But where's the problem preventing it
from working? Is it planned to fix this? Hotspot functionality is pretty
useful and was requested for a long time (it is available on the same
hardware in Android too)...

Here is the debdiff to perform the sync of the package with Debian
Unstable, keeping our changes.

[Bug 1483750] [NEW] Please sync newest pcsc-lite 1.8.14-1 to Ubuntu Wily from Debian Unstable

2015-08-11 Thread Nicolas DERIVE
Public bug reported:

We currently have a one year old version of pcsc-lite in archive whereas
3 new versions have been uploaded to Debian Unstable since then.

This package is pretty easy to sync with only a small change in
debian/rules kept, to allow its use by wpasupplicant.

Test build of ready-to-upload package is here:
https://launchpad.net/~kalon33/+archive/ubuntu/rfid/+sourcepub/5293788
/+listing-archive-extra

Thanks for syncing :)

[Bug 1439999] [NEW] btrfs-tools version is outdated

2015-04-03 Thread Nicolas DERIVE
Public bug reported:

As it seems there is no active maintainer anymore of this package in
Debian, btrfs-tools in Ubuntu is pretty outdated. 3.17.3 is out for a
while, and 3.18 and 3.19 were released since then. As important features
were included (better fsck tool, btrfs disk usage notably), and bugs
fixed, it should be considered to update such an important thing.

I released test versions of 3.18 series in ppa:giroll/ppa and 3.19
series in ppa:kalon33/experimental-stuff.

Please consider it :)

[Bug 997946] Re: tumgreyspf crashes on startup, wrong library path

2014-02-27 Thread Nicolas DERIVE
Hi Sven, this problem is fixed in new Ubuntu versions since Ubuntu
12.10. If needed, I provide updated tumgreyspf (and dependencies)
UNOFFICIAL packages in my PPA here :
https://launchpad.net/~kalon33/+archive/gamesgiroll/+packages?field.name_filter=&field.status_filter=published&field.series_filter=precise.
These are backported versions of latest versions available in Debian
Unstable, and I'm using them every day on my server.

Hope that it helps.

Have a nice day.

This bug affects me too, with both last stable and unstable version of
indicator-weather: no multiple locations displayed, no weather
conditions displayed and no forecast (multiple days) anymore

@doko: I don't know if it has a consequence, but maybe we should rebuild
packages depending on pcsc-lite after multiarch change, don't you think?

I also have various problems with pcsc-lite since multiarch changes...

2012-04-06 Thread Nicolas DERIVE
It seems to be due to last multiarch patch. It screwed up my smartcard
login and I can't even use the normal password login in backup (it
doesn't work anymore...).

Mark as confirmed, and put a milestone.

[Bug 970782] [NEW] Please merge new upstream dovecot version 2.0.18-1

2012-04-01 Thread Nicolas DERIVE
Public bug reported:

Hi, I think it would be great to have latest Debian testing release of
dovecot (if not the last upstream one, which is 2.0.18), because of
important bug fixes:

Last upstream release only :

v2.0.19 2012-03-15 Timo Sirainen

- IMAP: ENABLE CONDSTORE/QRESYNC + STATUS for a mailbox might not
have seen latest external changes to it, like new mails.
- imap_id_* settings were ignored before login.
- doveadm altmove did too much work sometimes, retrying moves
  it had already done.
- mbox: Fixed accessing Dovecot v1.x mbox index files without errors.

Last Debian testing release:

v2.0.18 2012-02-12 Timo Sirainen

+ DIGEST-MD5 authentication supports authorization id now.
  Patch by Yubao Liu
+ Added instance_name setting which is used to prefix Dovecot
  processes in ps output.
- LDA/LMTP: Sending a large mail via submission_host or via LMTP proxy
  may have caused a hang.
- Fixed dbox + mail_attachment_dir + zlib problems.
- Login processes weren't logging all intended messages with
  auth_verbose=yes
- IMAP: THREAD REFS sometimes returned invalid (0) nodes.
- IMAP: CONTEXT search return option wasn't handled at all.
- dbox: Various error handling fixes.
- snarf plugin: Keep the mailbox locked during snarfing to avoid
  duplicates.

v2.0.17 2012-01-06 Timo Sirainen

+ Proxying now supports sending SSL client certificate to server with
  ssl_client_cert/key settings.
+ doveadm dump: Added support for dumping dbox headers/metadata.
- Fixed memory leaks in login processes with SSL connections
- vpopmail support was broken in v2.0.16

v2.0.16 2011-11-17 Timo Sirainen

* VSZ limits weren't being enforced for any processes. On server with
large mailboxes you may now see errors about it if the limits aren't
  high enough. To fix them, either increase individual service {
vsz_limit } values or simply increase the default_vsz_limit setting.
* Proxying: If using ssl=yes or starttls=yes with a hostname (not IP)
as proxy destination, require that the certificate matches the given
  hostname.
* LMTP: Changed default client_limit to 1. This should improve LMTP
  throughput with default settings.
* dsync: Quota is no longer enforced (i.e. dsync can't fail because
  user is over quota).

+ Added "auto" mail storage driver, which can be used to autodetect
mailbox location and format. This behavior is already the default
for empty mail_location setting, so this change is mainly useful for
  shared namespace's location setting.
+ checkpassword: Export all auth %variables to AUTH_* environment.

We have two choices: Import latest upstream release (with latest fixes) or
latest Debian release. But in both cases, we should resynchronise pigeonhole
patches with Debian in order to have latest pigeonhole fixes too.

[Bug 964304] Re: Please merge new upstream rrdtool version 1.4.7-1 from Debian Unstable into Precise

2012-03-24 Thread Nicolas DERIVE
It should be safe to drop all Ubuntu changes I think, except this one:

  * Build-depend on libdbi-dev rather than libdbi0-dev (LP: #625882).

If necessary, I can make a bzr branch to merge.

** Description changed:

It would be great to have latest rrdtool synced from Debian into Precise
as it will potentially be used on many servers.

It seems reasonably safe and without massive new features changes:

-* [b59bb994] Merge commit 'upstream/1.4.7'
-* [8acead25] Refreshing patches, dropping bts625631-gcc4.5.
-* [75b42449] Ack NMU.
- Thanks to Luk Claes (Closes: #619688)
-* [e11e1d9e] Migrate to dh_python2.
+    * [b59bb994] Merge commit 'upstream/1.4.7'
+    * [8acead25] Refreshing patches, dropping bts625631-gcc4.5.
+    * [75b42449] Ack NMU.
+  Thanks to Luk Claes (Closes: #619688)
+    * [e11e1d9e] Migrate to dh_python2.

The upstream 1.4.7 version (after 1.4.4, 1.4.5 and 1.4.6 we and Debian
missed) is the latest of important bugfix releases (the number of fixes
  is impressive, see http://rrd-mailinglists.937164.n2.nabble.com/RRDtool-
Announcements-f937719.xml), so it's really a great reason to have it.
