[Bug 996450] Re: package snort 2.9.2-3ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 10
I've tracked down the point where the post-installation fails. It fails in the script /var/lib/dpkg/info/snort.config when line 16 db_get snort/reverse_order is run. To workaorund this failure I have removed the following lines from script /var/lib/dpkg/info/snort.config: db_get snort/reverse_order if [ x$RET = xyes ]; then # Remove the -o option which was introduced by Debconf # (snort/reverse_order) in versions previous to 2.8.5.2-2 DEBIAN_SNORT_OPTIONS=`echo $DEBIAN_SNORT_OPTIONS | sed -e 's/ -o$//'` fi I believe this bug is related to the following change: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ubuntu- branches/ubuntu/oneiric/snort/oneiric/revision/24 I hope this helps. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/996450 Title: package snort 2.9.2-3ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/snort/+bug/996450/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 108468] Re: buddy windows is wide three to four times the desktop and impossible to resize
Here it happened the same. In my case, I discovered this bug was triggered by my MSN account having enabled the option New mail notifications. As a workaround, I just disabled it. This solved half of the problem, because I couldn't change the window width using the mouse. To restore the window width I had to edit the file ~/.gaim/prefs.xml and change the width in the following section: pref name='blist' pref name='show_buddy_icons' type='bool' value='1'/ pref name='show_empty_groups' type='bool' value='0'/ pref name='show_idle_time' type='bool' value='1'/ pref name='show_offline_buddies' type='bool' value='0'/ pref name='list_visible' type='bool' value='1'/ pref name='list_maximized' type='bool' value='0'/ pref name='sort_type' type='string' value='alphabetical'/ pref name='x' type='int' value='40'/ pref name='y' type='int' value='76'/ pref name='width' type='int' value='1466'/ pref name='height' type='int' value='551'/ pref name='tooltip_delay' type='int' value='500'/ /pref to something more sensible: pref name='width' type='int' value='466'/ Hope this is helpful. -- buddy windows is wide three to four times the desktop and impossible to resize https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/108468 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
