[Bug 1266280] [NEW] Installer crashed in the end of install procedure
Public bug reported: I know, I do not have very much information, but the installer crashed at the end of the installer (the setup part, I think). I had just gotten a "Trying to overwrite (...), file already in gstreamer-something or the other." Also, the interface seemed sluggish all the way through, maybe not related to the crash. [Bug 763101] [NEW] Only standard (low) resolution on ati-driver
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg In natty beta 2, when using my AMD/ATI Radeon HD 4670 with the open source driver, I only get choices of resolutions up to 1024x768, not the desired 1280x1024, which my monitor runs. This is from a clean installation, using the VGA plug (my monitor is an old LCD, VGA only) Expected behavior: Running at monitors max supported resolution (1280x1024) What happened: Ubuntu runs with 1024x768 (and a bit of random flickering, but this is probably another bug) It could also be a problem with the monitor not reporting correctly through the legacy plug (VGA). In both Windows and when using the fglrx driver, I can access resolutions up to 1600x1200, even though my monitor does not support these. [Bug 458512] [NEW] No sound in totem after one file has been played
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 456016 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/456016 Public bug reported: I am not sure that this is a alsa bug, I believe it to be a specific totem bug as all other apps work fine, both gstreamer and non-gstreamer (VLC, system-sounds and Rhythmbox). But apport tells me that alsa-driver is the correct package, so I guess I will start here. The trouble is that if I add more than one audio file to the playlist, when the first has been played, the other doesn't start. And, if I double-click the first one, it won't start either. If this is done with video-files, the first will play fine, but the second plays without sound. One time, I experienced that the sound would come back in the second clip after 10-20 second, but then strongly out of sync, but I have not been able to reproduce this. I use snd_hda_intel driver, if this has anything to do with it. To repeat: everything else works just brilliantly. It seems to me that something doesn't get reset/closed as it should, but I don't know anything :) ProblemType: Bug Architecture: amd64 Date: Thu Oct 22 22:02:42 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/totem Package: alsa-base 1.0.20+dfsg-1ubuntu5 PackageArchitecture: all ProcEnviron: LANG=da_DK.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-14.48-generic SourcePackage: alsa-driver Uname: Linux 2.6.31-14-generic x86_64 ** Affects: alsa-driver (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug -- No sound in totem after one file has been played https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/458512 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
