A double click on the 'home' folder icon causes nautilus to crash. Am
also having problems with Compiz because of some kind of nvidia driver
issue, so this could be side effect.

I got the same error after a clean 10.10 install. At the time the OS
didn't have enough info to know whether I had an Ubuntu One account or
not. In fact I do and have storage available. The work around from
Charlie above to remove Ubuntu One from the start up list is helpful
(Thanks).
