The system tries to configure the device, but never manages to turn on
the hardware. I have to do it by hand by using

sudo qmicli -p -d /dev/wwan0mbim0 --device-open-auto --dms-foxconn-set-

I can't do that :-D

Its my main workhorse laptop, and adding a non tested kernel to it is
not something I want to do.

I will see if I can find other media to install a whole new OS for
testing this, but it is not something I can guarantee I have time for.
