[Bug 221119] Re: [gutsy, hardy, intrepid] Blank screen and (EE) intel(0): overrun on pipe B! on i945GM using intel driver

2008-12-11 Thread Nikolay Pavlov
This solution works for me:

System Settings-Advanced-Service Manager and turning off Detecting
RANDR (monitor) changes

On KDE4 it's in the settings window.
I turn it off the service and the screen see correctly.

[Bug 137401] Re: kde apps draw very slowly

2007-10-24 Thread Nikolay Pavlov
I am not sure. But i suspect KDE-3.5.8 upgrade on 7.04. I've done it
right before 7.10 release. But in any case i've never install xserver-
xgl explicitly. Also it's not default for Gutsy, because it's not listed
as a dependency.

But you forget about non gnome users. We don't have gnome-mount here. I
don't see any problems with PolicyKit on my FreeBSD box it's just work.
At least you can include it into distribution and disable it by default
or create a .deb package, because currently users don't have any choice.
And this is really a big problem.

[Bug 123401] Please include PolicyKit into Kubuntu Gutsy Gibbon 7.10

2007-07-01 Thread Nikolay Pavlov
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: hal

Please include PolicyKit into Kubuntu Gutsy Gibbon 7.10.
If you try to automount ntfs-3g usb storage devices with hal you'll get this
message in .xsession-errors:

kded: ERROR: mount failed for
/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/volume_uuid_2EE506BF000932C2:
org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.PermissionDeniedByPolicy -
hal-storage-removable-mount-all-opti
ons refused uid 1000
kded: ERROR: mounting /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/volume_uuid_2EE506BF000932C2
returned hal-storage-removable-mount-all-options refused uid 1000
MediaManager::slotMediumAdded: sdb1_1

And if am understand this correctly this can not be fixed with out
policykit from freedesktop.org

** Affects: hal (Ubuntu)

[Bug 122259] ASSERT: !icon.isEmpty() in /root/kdebase/kdebase-3.5.7/./libkonq/konq_pixmapprovider.cc (81)

2007-06-26 Thread Nikolay Pavlov
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kdebase

Well. I am getting this error in kubuntu 7.04 and i am unable to browse sites
with konqueror.
Even KDE 3.5.7 installation didn't resolve this problem. However there is a
little workaround for this problem: you can disable local cache in services
menu and than it works.
