[Bug 1795292] Re: ELAN469D touch pad not working
I don't have words to convey my thanks to this forum (specially Kenji (dude2k5) ). I have Lenovo 330s 15ARR Laptop. Until read this forum I used NOAPIC parameter to start Ubuntu. Otherwise it is stuck on black screen. Even though I was able to start Ubuntu, touch pad doesn't work (not identified by Ubuntu), Suspend(sleep) option does not work (led light doesn't flash, screen goes black, no response after that, only thing has to do - force shut down ) and keyboard doesn't work time to time on each boot. Finally, everything started to worked correctly after substituting NOAPIC by ivrs_ioapic[32]=00:14.0. If you think right-click still not working use this tool "Tweaks" Use this command : sudo apt install gnome-tweaks Check Mouse click emulation in Keyboard and Mouse. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1795292 Title: ELAN469D touch pad not working To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/1795292/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1797945] Re: Lightning incompatible with Thunderbird 60.2.1
It was broken for me also and comments from #3 and #4 helped. Calendar is very important functionality and sudden disappearance was very problematic. May be work with Mozilla and ask them to update documentation for Ubuntu so that others facing this problem will have a quick solution. I certainly did not know about the lightning package and always have installed from thunderbird. Another alternative could be update manager to warn people that it can break functionality. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1797945 Title: Lightning incompatible with Thunderbird 60.2.1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/thunderbird/+bug/1797945/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1067068] [NEW] Wrong credentials for GUI apps
Public bug reported: I have two accounts on my machine. One account is the default account that was created when Ubuntu was installed. Other one is active directory account after joining the machine with the domain. I have setup the accounts so that both the accounts have sudo permissions. Behavior I am observing is GUI based applications such as Ubuntu Software Center do not accept my active directory credentials when it asks me for the password. However from terminal prompt, it DOES accept the credentials. To illustrate me_default : Default account me_active : Active directory account. Currently logged in as me_active. On terminal prompt if I say sudo apt-get update, I get password prompt. I enter credentials for me_active and everything goes well. If I opem ubuntu software center, it also asks me for the password, if I enter credentials for me_active it fails even if I have logged in as me_active. If I enter credentials of me_default while logged in as me_active, it works. [Bug 250712] Re: Warning: Unable to open display ':0' and cannot connect to X server :0
to solve the X forwarding problem i googled a lot as i wanted to install Oracle 11g on my kubuntu 9.10 machine i found out the solution that did work To resolve this problem, you have to let X server listen on tcp port modify file /etc/kde4/kdm/kdmrc You will see “ServerArgsLocal=-br -nolisten tcp” Change that line to “ServerArgsLocal=-br” or comment the line as follows: # ServerArgsLocal=-br -nolisten tcp Restart X server (/etc/init.d/kdm restart or CTRL+ALT+backspace or restart OS) Now you can run remote X application on your X server. testing disable access control of your x server use following command: $xhost + (you can disable access control for specific ip address with $xhost + ip_address) $ssh u...@remote_pc $export DISPLAY=your_ip_address:0 $xclock anddd its done :) ** Changed in: network-manager (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = Fix Committed -- Warning: Unable to open display ':0' and cannot connect to X server :0 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/250712 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 374258] Re: VLC crashes: X11 request 132.19 failed with error code 11: BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)
This definitely is a video driver issue. Happens to me on two test machines with Intel Corporation 82865G Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:2572] (rev 02), and it happens not only with VLC, but also with mplayer and totem. -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.- :~$ totem /home/ascent.avi /var/lib/python-support/python2.6/gdata/tlslite/utils/cryptomath.py:9: DeprecationWarning: the sha module is deprecated; use the hashlib module instead import sha The program 'totem' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. [Bug 254863] [NEW] Rendering select tag on page refresh
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox-3.0 Firefox 3.0.1 exhibited an abnormal behavior while rendering a select tag on page refresh. I have a page with following select tag select id='booga' option selected=selectedFirst/option optionSecond/option /select I changed selected option to Second and refreshed the page. The response sent the same select as above. Though it was expected that option First would be selected, it didn't. Browser caching is turned off. [Bug 133124] Re: MASTER [GUTSY] firefox crashed [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] from libcairo
Something in the last set of updates partially fixed this problem for me, however, firefox still immediately segfaults if I try to open it on my second monitor. See: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/139095. I'm not sure if there's any relation between the two.
