[Bug 526354] Re: [Dell Studio 1537] temperature sensors and fan stop working following suspend/resume
@Steve Langasek: Is there anyway to sneak it in there? I know this is a big issue for me and others. This basically affects two models of notebooks that System76 sells and clearly a load of Dell Studios. What would be the ETA of this fix as a post-release update? -- [Dell Studio 1537] temperature sensors and fan stop working following suspend/resume https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/526354 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 214736] Re: screen dims on boot
Can you give me the instructions for doing so. I tried a few things in GRUB, but none of them worked. [Bug 214736] Re: screen dims on boot
Yep, that's my exact problem. It seems like I remembering being able to change the brightness before Gnome was loaded in previous versions, but I'm not sure. Either way, the brightness dims and I'm not able to change it until Gnome is fully loaded. -- screen dims on boot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/214736 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 214736] [NEW] screen dims on boot
Public bug reported: Using 8.04 Beta with today's updates thus far installed. During boot, screen dims from full brightness to almost the lowest setting at the same point every time. I've installed Hardy Beta twice and do not remember the problem happening during the first install until an update was installed (not sure which it was). During second install, the issue started happening immediately without applying any updates. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- screen dims on boot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/214736 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 152108] there is no progress screen for boot or poweroff in gutsy rc
Public bug reported: I just finished a fresh install of Gutsy RC1. Things went smoothly until I rebooted my system after installing. No progress is displayed. In fact, I see nothing at all until GDM comes up. Also, it seems like the system takes an awfully long time to load (this could be just because I'm use to seeing progress). The same thing happens when I restart or power-off my machine. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- there is no progress screen for boot or poweroff in gutsy rc https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/152108 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 104450] Re: progress bar fail to report correct progress
Well, my experience is based off of several fresh installs of Feisty. Whether a GStreamer update solved the problem, I don't know. I'll have to try using SoundConverter a little later. -- progress bar fail to report correct progress https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/104450 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 104450] progress bar fail to report correct progress
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: soundconverter Soundconverter's progress bar reports the incorrect overall progress of the conversion, while SoundConverter also fails to calculate the correct time remaining. ** Affects: soundconverter (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- progress bar fail to report correct progress https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/104450 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 104450] Re: progress bar fail to report correct progress
I'm using Ubuntu Feisty, and the SoundConverter package is version 0.9.4-0ubuntu1; architecture would be i386. The error has occurred every time I've tried to convert files using the particular version of SoundConverter under Feisty. For the record, I only ever attempt to convert FLAC files to Ogg Vorbis. I've also noticed SoundConverter takes quite a long time to analyze the tags of the files I add to be converted. I'm not sure if that is a bug, but I never remember it taking long at all in previous versions. The last and final bug I've come across (I wanted to make this particular bug report quick and simple, however, since I've drawn attention to it, I decided to list the rest of my problems) occurs when I have SoundConverter place the converted files into the same directory as the input files: SoundConverter places the files into a directory folder outside of the input directory. Sorry for adding even more problems to this bug report. -- progress bar fail to report correct progress https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/104450 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
