I have a Dell M6700 and am getting the same problem, touchpad being
recognised as a generic mouse so don't get any scrolling or multi-touch
features.

[Bug 567719] Re: open office menu- and controls-fonts blurred

I am experiencing this also.  
Sometimes I can snap out of it by resizing the window or closing and opening 
the window.
There is no pattern that I can see.  No specific action makes the menus blur 
out their text.
