[Bug 757814] Re: Static Application Switcher Plugin does not show window titles
Alan (#10): It sounds to me like maybe you don't have the Text plugin in the new Natty CCSM enabled...? (It's in the Image Loading section, for whatever reason.) Until I enabled it, none of Compiz's switchers were showing text, for me. Importantly, this bug -- with the Static Application Switcher -- persists regardless of the status of the Text plugin... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/757814 Title: Static Application Switcher Plugin does not show window titles -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 644898] Re: required kernel toshiba support not enabled
Just checked keks-n's modle (ver 0.0.2), working like a charm. Thanks! (I was doing manual compilations before, but I removed my manually- compiled module to make sure the .deb was doing the job.) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/644898 Title: required kernel toshiba support not enabled -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 346289] Re: MASTER: Choppy Flash playback in full screen
Strange or not, I see the same behavior as described in comment #80. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/346289 Title: MASTER: Choppy Flash playback in full screen -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 658636] Re: title in title bars sometimes refreshes only if the window is moved/resized
Thanks, max! Following up on your comment, I tried ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/x-updates, too (full command-line below) -- and for me that also did the trick. This PPA is a little less bleeding-edge than xorg-edgers (obviously), so some might prefer it. sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/x-updates sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/658636 Title: title in title bars sometimes refreshes only if the window is moved/resized -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 658636] Re: title in title bars sometimes refreshes only if the window is moved/resized
Quick follow-up to comment #7 -- If you already put the xorg-edgers PPA in effect on your system, you should probably do a ppa-purge first, before installing anything else xorg-related. Do sudo apt-get install ppa-purge, and then ppa-purge -h, and take it from there. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/658636 Title: title in title bars sometimes refreshes only if the window is moved/resized -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 181065] Re: Unable to unlock the screensaver
I think I might have pinpointed the cause of this one (or at least, *one* cause), and it's a weird one: I was having this same issue, and it has since gone away, and I failed to pinpoint what exactly made things change -- until Antti Kaihola's comment (number 28, above) made me remember. I had an ecryptfs directory whose passphrase was different than my login passphrase. Once I made the two passphrases the same -- voila! No more login window freezes. What's more, during the timeframe where I had the non-matching passphrases, I had noticed another strange behavior: if I logged into the console (via tty1/tty2/etc.), I would then have to logout *twice*! The first logout would just clear the screen and bring up another shell prompt, and only the second logout would stick. Whether these two things (the screensaver freeze, and the double-logout) are causally related, I don't know. But it's worth putting the info out there, I suppose. Anyway, as I said, making the passphrases match cleared up both problems. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/181065 Title: Unable to unlock the screensaver -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
