[Bug 903382] [NEW] [powerpc] Unsatisfiable dependency in oneiric
Public bug reported: There was a build failure for gnome-shell in oneiric-proposed on powerpc. It seems that afterwards the binary from precise got copied to oneiric-propopsed (or -updates). This binary has a wrong dependency on package 'gir1.2-coglpango-1.0' which exists only in precise and not in oneiric. When I tried to rebuild on buildd, the binary fails to upload because same version is already present in archive. I believe there are two ways to fix this. 1. Remove current powerpc binary from archive and then rebuild current source on powerpc. I am not sure if this is possible in practice. 2. Just bump the version of package in oneiric-proposed and let it rebuild for all architectures. [Bug 596515] Re: [powerpc] Text theme used even when logo theme is configured
I am also hit by bug 570228. Apparently this bug is the cause of /dev/dri* not being present. When I turn off KMS the device node is present - /dev/dri/card0. I found a relevant thread here - http://us.generation-nt.com/answer/how-activate-kms-radeon-video-card-powerpc-help-196523701.html According to comments in the thread 'radeonfb' prevents KMS from taking ownership of the GPU. radeonfb is built into kernel. So I tried passing 'video=radeonfb:off' argument to kernel. But then the display fails to come up. So I guess radeonfb is needed at some point of time in boot process. Is it possible to built radeonfb as module instead of in kernel, so that it is loaded/unloaded on need basis? -- [powerpc] Text theme used even when logo theme is configured https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/596515 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 523196] Re: Please merge tuxguitar 1.2-1.1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main)
@Micah, This is not a simple merge. It is a merge of new upstream version. So someone needs to first work on freeze exception. Assuming that no one is working on freeze exception, please go ahead and provide fix for bug #544830. -- Please merge tuxguitar 1.2-1.1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/523196 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 544830] Re: tuxguitar still looks for xulrunner-1.9.1
The ideal way to fix this is to not use versioned binary at all i.e. instead of doing xulrunner-1.9.2 --gre-version simply use xulrunner --gre-version. In Ubuntu xulrunner always links to latest version in main through the alternatives system. Check output of 'update-alternatives --list xulrunner'. -- tuxguitar still looks for xulrunner-1.9.1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/544830 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 543434] Re: Sync mobile-broadband-provider-info 20100302-1 (main) from Debian testing (main)
Daniel, libmbca is not present in Lucid. So I think it is safe to drop this change. Also since this library is neither present in Karmic (current stable) nor Hardy (current LTS) there aren't any problems with upgrades for officially supported upgrade paths. -- Sync mobile-broadband-provider-info 20100302-1 (main) from Debian testing (main) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/543434 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
