[Bug 1176898] Re: Grid: Snap animation uses wrong window

2014-04-05 Thread PBS
** Description changed:

This is to do with the grid plugin in raring. When a window is snapped
the animation uses the contents and position of the currently focused
window, which is not always the same as the window being snapped. Steps
  to reproduce:

  - Open Synaptic (for example), and do Edit>Search to create a random modal
window, then snap the main window to an edge.
  - The modal window gets animated, even though the main window gets snapped in
the end.

  OR

  - Open something which takes a while to create a window - libreoffice for
example.
  - While it's opening start dragging another window. When libreoffice has
created its window, snap the one being dragged.
+
+ OR MOST SIMPLY OF ALL
+
+ - Start dragging a window, alt-tab to another window while dragging, the try
to snap
+ the first window.

[Bug 1184799] Re: Path bar graphical corruption

2013-11-22 Thread PBS
I can't reproduce this on HD 4000, in fact it only happens on GMA X4500.
And so I am fairly sure that bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=55500
is responsible, i.e. a hardware bug triggered by SNA. I.e. I am closing
this report as invalid.

[Bug 1184799] [NEW] Path bar graphical corruption

2013-05-27 Thread PBS
Public bug reported:

With nautilus in ubuntu 13.04 (on intel graphics), graphical corrpution
of the path bar at the top of nautilus can occur when the window is
snapped to fullscreen.

To reproduce:
- Enable 'always-use-location-entry' for nautilus, in dconf-editor or
gnome-tweak-tool.
- Repeatedly snap the window to the top to make it fullscreen.

Note that nothing happens if breadcrumb is enabled rather than pathbar -
see screenshot.
