[Bug 455852] Re: Flash hangs on any cbc.ca/video site

2010-03-26 Thread PC-load_letter
This is confirmed on Karmic both 64, and 32bit systems, running Firefox,
Chromium and Opera.
This problem may be a deal breaker to a lot of people, and it definitely screws
up the experience for someone like me who uses Ubuntu exclusively.

I concur the status should be moved to high.

[Bug 276594] Re: New default Intrepid wallpaper is green

2008-10-05 Thread PC-load_letter
The current wallpaper is tasteless, ugly, and gives the wrong impression to
someone who is trying Ubuntu for the first time. The current choice of the
wallpaper conveys a message of unprofessional quality that will cause many
first timers to steer clear of even trying Ubuntu.
There are countless better choices out there, even just within the Ibex
community art, and the Gnome-art pages.

Releasing Ibex with this choice of wallpaper is an irresponsible
decision that needs to be reviewed in my opinion.

[Bug 209714] Re: gnome-open incorrectly uses eince to open pdf files even after I select Acroread as the default handler in nautilus

2008-07-09 Thread PC-load_letter
Confirmed here. I have epdfviewer as the default app to open pdf docs in
Nautilus. but gnome-open will always use Evince.
To be honest, I couldn't care less about this bug but Gnome-Do apparently uses
gnome-open to open docs. so I'll still suffer Evince until the bug is fixed or
Gnome-do dropping gnome-open.
