After trying very workarounds, I blacklisted video in /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist 
adding:

blacklist video

after reboot all was ok (brightness now is good, max). So i understood this 
problem depends from "video" module.
it's ACPI module? blacklisting this module brightness is now max, but Fn keys 
to change brightness don't function.
So i discovered that this "video" module, during every boot, create a folder:

/proc/acpi/video

and in this folder there is this file:

/proc/acpi/video/VGA/LCDD/brightness
editing it:

levels:  0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13
current: 0

Now to change current: 0 (min brightness) to current: 13 (max brightness) and 
to make this change permanent, i used this workaround:
"
sudo nano brightness

i copy this 2 lines in terminal folder:

#!/bin/sh
echo 13 > /proc/acpi/video/VGA/LCDD/brightness

C)  Ctrl-O to save e Ctrl-X to exit
Now we will copy our new shell script to the appropriate directory, make it 
executable and add the following links by typing the following in Terminal:
sudo mv brightness /etc/init.d
sudo chmod 755 /etc/init.d/brightness
sudo update-rc.d brightness defaults 13

so it's ok, but u should solve this problem in video module for future.

I have an asus m51sn laptop with dual system VISTA/UBUNTU boot..
When i power off Vista, i reboot in Ubuntu, after 4/5 sec, LCD
brightness go down (very dim).
I can go up with LCD brightness using Fn-F6 keys, but every time i
reboot, it reset...
 is it the problem the light sensor maybe?
This problem is present in Ubuntu 8.10 Kernel: Linux 2.6.27-14-generic(i686) 
and in ubuntu 9.04

it's ok, but awaking it only shows a monitor changing colors (like a
screensaver, but it isn't screensaver) and slowly it trasforms all
black. I cannot make nothing else than power off laptop in brute mode.

After an update from  Ubuntu 8.10 to Ubuntu Jaunty 9.04 (but also in a
new installation), screenlets don't function. Also launching them from
terminal, this is the error:

Dopo l'aggiornamento ad Ubuntu Jaunty (ma anche in una nuova
installazione) gli screenlets non funzionano. Anche lanciandoli dal
terminale  (screenlets-manager), questo è l'errore che mi da:
