I attach a video of daily-iso lucid amd64 20100310
You can see that we arrive at a screen with just the background and cursor
(that's what I call freeze), and blue led activity of usb key stay off forever.

Until I switch (ctrl+alt+f1), and with this switch , blue led power on
and in background Xorg session continue (after the freeze), be back to
Alt+F7 and we can see that ubiquity is here.

[Bug 483628] Re: Can't record from front micro

2009-11-18 Thread Patrice Vetsel
I'v made changes and collect new files.

Ok.
linux-backports-modules-alsa-karmic-generic is already installed.

So here are problems :
1/ I can use alsamixer to set front mic to volume max <-> why can't do this
under applet-mixer
2/ under alsamixer can't set front mic to capture. I just can set a progress
bar named "capture"
3/ under applet mixer I can shout in front of my front mic but the progress
level indicator don't moove.

BUT
using gnome recorder I can record myself.

So what ?
applet mixer should allow to select capture from digital input OR front mic
(here just an "Audio interne Analog Stereo")
applet mixer should allow to set volume for Digital input AND for front mic
separatly
applet mixer level indicator should moove when I shout <-> gnome record works ?!
