[Bug 192773] Re: Sony Vaio Backlight

2008-04-13 Thread Patrick Niklaus
Same here on a Sony Vaio SZ61WN running on
Linux patrick-laptop 2.6.24-16-generic #1 SMP Thu Apr 10 13:23:42 UTC 2008 i686
GNU/Linux

xbacklight does not work for me. It seems to modify
/sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0/brightness, but the backlight itself
does not change it's brightness.

[Bug 120434] Re: [needs-packaging] Ricoh R5U870 Webcam Driver

2008-04-13 Thread Patrick Niklaus
I build the current svn version of R5u870 using build files found at
http://download.tuxfamily.org/arakhne/pool/ricoh-webcam-r5u870/.
Build for kernel 2.6.24-16-generic.

Works nice with my 05ca:183a build into a Sony Vaio SZ61WN.

[Bug 209771] Re: Problema alsa Audio Jack Output

2008-04-12 Thread Patrick Niklaus
This seems to be also a problem with the Sony Vaio SZ series (also Intel
HDA). That is exactly how I could fix it for my SZ61WN. Would be great
if Ubuntu could do this by default since it would allow a much smoother
user experience for Sony Vaio owners.

[Bug 191841] Re: [hardy] simple-ccsm (un)usability

2008-02-14 Thread Patrick Niklaus
1) That is fixed in the upstream version.

2) I don't really see how the key bindings for switching the workspace
are different in Cube and in Wall.

3) See above.

4) That should be fixed upstream as well.

5) Simple-CCSM depends on CCSM since they share a (CCSM intern) setting
widget library.
