[Bug 2047356] Re: gvfs-disks2-volume-monitor and gsd-housekeeping processes can eat a lot of CPU with k3s workload
Some time ago, I reported two issues related to this topic on the Gnome's official gitlab https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gvfs/-/issues/713 - for gvfs-udisks2-volume-monitor https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-settings-daemon/-/issues/799 - for gsd-housekeeping The first one is already fixed and merged, so the patch could be backported to Ubuntu, or we can just wait for Gnome 47.1 to be released on the official repos ;) As for the second one, still no one taken care of it, so gsd- housekeeping will still eat a lot of CPU ** Bug watch added: gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gvfs/-/issues #713 https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gvfs/-/issues/713 ** Bug watch added: gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-settings-daemon/-/issues #799 https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-settings-daemon/-/issues/799 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2047356 Title: gvfs-disks2-volume-monitor and gsd-housekeeping processes can eat a lot of CPU with k3s workload To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gvfs/+bug/2047356/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1650767] Re: kubuntu zesty 17.0.4.1 installation fails (2016-12-16 image)
OK, I got rid of the partman bug by rechecking GPT partitions for errors, here is what I found: If you start the installation from a live USB image - I dd'ed mine, but the USB writer does the same and produces a bad GPT table - and this seems to crash partman after manual partition selection. second bug I encountered is within keyboard setup, as seen below: Exception caught in process_line: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/plugins/ubi-console-setup.py", line 348, in set_keyboard ly = keyboard_names.layout_id(lang, misc.utf8(layout)) File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/keyboard_names.py", line 142, in layout_id return kn.layout_id(lang, value) File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/keyboard_names.py", line 90, in layout_id return self._layout_by_human[value] KeyError: 'Polish' During handling of the above exception, another exception occurred: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/filteredcommand.py", line 145, in process_line return self.dbfilter.process_line() File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/debconffilter.py", line 287, in process_line if not input_widgets[0].run(priority, question): File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/plugins/ubi-console-setup.py", line 502, in run self.ui.set_keyboard(misc.utf8(self.db.get(question))) File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/plugin.py", line 48, in wrapper return target(self, *args, **kwargs) File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/plugins/ubi-console-setup.py", line 350, in set_keyboard ly = keyboard_names.layout_id('C', misc.utf8(layout)) File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/keyboard_names.py", line 142, in layout_id return kn.layout_id(lang, value) File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/keyboard_names.py", line 90, in layout_id return self._layout_by_human[value] KeyError: 'Polish' Setting "Polish" was automatically selected based on my IP location (I guess, since it was auto-selected), and this keyboard/location auto- setting is another problem. I'm not fluent with requestsync, thus wrong title here. IT'S ABOUT SYNCING 0.11.0-2! and not 0.11.0-1. Re: [Bug 935207] Re: kadu version 0.10.1-1 FTBFS on i386 in precise
Ok, just filled a sync request (https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/938459). Hopefully 0.11.0-2 will be synced. [Bug 938459] [NEW] FFe: Sync kadu 0.11.0-1 (universe) from Debian testing (main)
Public bug reported: Please sync kadu 0.11.0-1 (universe) from Debian testing (main) Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped: No changes needed. Explanation of FeatureFreeze exception: Kadu version currently in Ubuntu Precise (0.10.0-1) does not build cleanly due to build dependency problem (please see Bug 935207 on Launchpad). The same problem occurs in Kadu 0.11.0-1, currently in Debian Testing. Because of the issue, I, Kadu's maintainer in Debian, fixed the problem and uploaded corrected version (0.11.0-2) to Debian Unstable. It builds cleanly now and is ready to be synced into Ubuntu Precise. Without that, Kadu will probably disappear in 12.04. Hi, I'm a maintainer if this package in Debian. 0.11.0-1 has been uploaded into unstable and is already in testing: http://packages.qa.debian.org/k/kadu.html I'm not sure about the Ubuntu's release schedule, but (if possible) please consider including it in 12.04.
