[Bug 1661797] Re: identify lxd-nova platform to enable Openstack datasource

2017-02-09 Thread Paul Hummer
I've combined this patch functionality into this patch (the
flavor<->profile code was refactored in an already submitted patch).

[Bug 1623107] Re: [SRU] python-pylxd 2.0.5

2016-09-22 Thread Paul Hummer
As of lxd 2.0.3, some changes to how lxd rest calls indicate successful
responses changed from HTTP 200 to HTTP 202. This causes issues with
pylxd.

As long as lxd packages are updated in xenial, pylxd packages should
also be updated.

Yes, for pylxd 2.0, which will be released alongside lxd 2.0, we'll be
dropping a number if drops. That work should be completed this week or
early next week.

[Bug 711409] Re: [MASTER] -nvidia broken after Jan 31st updates, because it does not yet support xserver 1.10

How is this Fix Released? These drivers aren't packaged in Ubuntu, and
even when installing them, they still don't match ABIs (and yes, I was
sure to get the right driver for the supported cards according to all
these instructions).

The fix isn't released unless I can install the driver with `apt-get
install`.

[Bug 708780] [NEW] Setting up syncing with Ubuntu One causes a crash

2011-01-27 Thread Paul Hummer
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: tomboy

I'm running Maverick, with Tomboy 1.4.2-0ubuntu1

I had a good syncing flow working with Tomboy and U1 for a while.
However, all of a sudden I was unable to sync. This coincided with some
changes I had made to the server side of notes, so I went to
investigate.

When running `tomboy --debug` I got the following output:

[INFO 09:52:11.901] Initializing Mono.Addins

This seemed to indicate that my credentials were broken. So I removed
all the tomboy config folders to backups, and re-ran Tomboy, went to set
up synchronization, but when I hit save, I get a crash, and the debug
output looks like this:

[Bug 545151] [NEW] Nexus One requires .is_audio_player on SD card

2010-03-23 Thread Paul Hummer
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: media-player-info

I blogged about using my Nexus One phone with the Ubuntu One Music Store
and Rhythmbox and a commenter suggested I file a bug on media-player-
info because I needed to create the .is_audio_player file in the root of
the SD card instead of it automatically being detected as a music player
in Rhythmbox.

I'll create a nexus one compatible file for media-player-info and attach
it here.

[Bug 539324] Re: Setting up swap fails when setting lvm+encryption

2010-03-16 Thread Paul Hummer
This basically blocks my real ability to test Lucid. My current install
is not encrypted now, and so I don't have any desire to do anything of
value on my system. I figure I'll have to re-install when this is
fixed.

Can we please make this bug critical?

[Bug 427101] Re: [Karmic] Xorg crash after login. Returns to gdm which then hangs.

2009-09-11 Thread Paul Hummer
I have this same issue too. I did a fresh install of Karmic from the
daily iso build of 11 Sept 2009. When I log in, I get a nice animated
graphic, then a black screen and back to gdm. It was a pain in the ass
to really figure out what was going on, and the logs don't really
indicate anything except that X.org crashed (but no reason why). My
logs look basically the same as Marty's. I also can't get Ctrl+Alt+F1,
but I can log in with xterm instead of Gnome.

Bryce, you know more about this than I do, so just tell me what I need
to get you and I'll get it for you. This box is dead in the water until
this gets fixed. Too bad it's my main development box... :/

[Bug 399510] [NEW] Karmic alternate install doesn't remember my keyboard layout

2009-07-14 Thread Paul Hummer
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: debian-installer

I went through the alternate installer for Karmac, daily iso build of 14
July, 2009. I used alternate because I needed encrypted root. I go
through the installer, and everything is hunky dory. On reboot, I'm
prompted for my encryption passphrase. It was rejected a few times
before I thought I probably typed it wrong. Let me reinstall. After
the re-install, I had the same issue, until I thought I should try
typing my passphrase as if my keyboard were qwerty layout (it was set up
and used in the installer as US Dvorak). That worked. My user account
also had to have Dvorak selected, as it was set up with US qwerty as
well.

Console setup seems to think it's doing Dvorak properly, but my ttys and
my encryption prompt are still Qwerty when the installer should have set
them to Dvorak.

[Bug 174048] Re: missing dependency: python-xml

2008-05-20 Thread Paul Hummer
I've looked extensively at this bug. Sure, adding python-xml as a
dependency helps, but the python-xml library is broken, slightly.

Apparently, it's an old bug where some of the python-xml is being
broken up into core and oldxml. However, nothing in oldxml is
accessible. While tzu's workaround will work, the best solution is:

`echo 'oldxml' /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/oldxml.pth`

I'll look into generating a debdiff for this, and getting it submitted.
