[Bug 872932] Re: Brightness

2011-10-27 Thread Paul Kilian
I too am having this problem on a Dell D430. In addition, the stepping
on the brightness keys is wrong. It seems to step from the bottom, then
from the top etc. etc. So when increasing the brightness, it goes dim,
halfbright, dim+1, halfbright+1, dim+2, halfbright+2..etc.

[Bug 731051] [NEW] LDAP contacts are trying to use description as the naming attribute

2011-03-07 Thread Paul Kilian
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

When trying to create or edit LDAP addressbook entries, an error occurs (Other
error).
A network trace reveals the following add request:
addRequest(51)
description=user.1299553314,uid=,ou=People,DC=somedomain,DC=com
The LDAP server responds with the following message:
addResponse(51) namingViolation (naming attribute 'description' is not present
in entry)

The add request should be using 'cn', like
cn=testuser,uid=,ou=People,DC=somedomain,DC=com
