[Bug 578844] Re: package fglrx 2:8.723.1-0ubuntu3 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-removal script returned error exit status 2

2010-06-01 Thread Paul Merrill
It appears that fglrx changed it's package name since it created a libGL
dpkg diversion. When trying to revert the diversion, dpkg is complaining
that it's not coming from the original package.

Original package name: xorg-driver-fglrx
Current package name: fglrx

[Bug 578844] Re: package fglrx 2:8.723.1-0ubuntu3 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-removal script returned error exit status 2

2010-06-01 Thread Paul Merrill
This is a patch for /var/lib/dpkg/info/fglrx.postrm to fix the issue. It
changes the fglrx's post-uninstall script to say it's from the xorg-
drivers-fglrx package.

** Patch added: "Patch for /var/lib/dpkg/info/fglrx.postrm"
   http://launchpadlibrarian.net/49511545/fglrx-uninstall.patch

** Changed in: fglrx-installer (Ubuntu)
   Status: New => Fix Committed

[Bug 525226] Re: flickers on changing volume/brightness when using metacity

2010-06-01 Thread Paul Merrill
If I recall correctly, I experienced flickering on Metacity when using
fglrx as my graphics driver. Since I've switched to the open source
radeon, it seems to have disappeared.

[Bug 588470] Re: Jedit tries to save to / dir by default

2010-06-01 Thread Paul Merrill
I installed Jedit and opened it up. I typed a few keystrokes, and it
auto-saved the untitled document I was editing to my home folder. It did
not try to save to my root directory. I went to Save As, and again it
defaulted to my home directory, not my root.

Unable to reproduce.

[Bug 361679] Re: Docky locks up on 'About Do'

2010-03-18 Thread Paul Merrill
This bug is affecting me on Karmic. Using gnome-do_0.8.2+dfsg-1_amd64.

The weird thing is, it happens ONLY when Compiz is disabled. So you guys
fixed the Docky bug, but it's still there on the non-compositing theme.

[Bug 397024] Re: lxterminal dies silently

2010-03-09 Thread Paul Merrill
This bug also affects me. Attempting to remove /tmp/.lxterminal-
socket:0.0-* as Anna suggested did not fix it. Running lxterminal as
root does fix it, but this is not acceptable for everyday usage.
