[Bug 1391247] [NEW] Screeen frezes randomly
Public bug reported: Since update to 14.10 i have 4 times same error. The screen is friezed. Mouse cursor moves itself, but I can't click anything. Switching to other tty works but need much time (about a minute). top shows no processes, which uses 100% CPU. same problem for me on 14.04. After installation i haven't such problem, but after last update (i make it last week) the keyboard layout is set to en. I have only two layouts de and ru. I have check some other apps: LibreOffice Writer, Deadbeef (gtk2). All apps are affected to this bug, but only if the are maximized. Public bug reported: After I minimize/maximize an application the handling of local window- coordinate sometimes will be broken. The actual position of the mouse pointer in the window is lower the the position of the cursor on the screen (about the window title height or unity panel height). So, i found the problem. New Indicator use icons to present the current keyboard layouts. So, if i use other icon theme - there is no such icons. Thats why no indicator is shown. Simple solution just copy /status/22/ keyboard icons into your theme folder. But i think, it's a bad idea to use icons. Can you draw it dynamically? Same issue, but at the beginning it works as expected. After some installations (latex, gimp, inkscape, qt etc) is won't showing anymore. The process is there (indicator-keyboard-service), the checkbox is on (in dconf too), but there is no indicator. I think my issues are related with this bug. I have two layouts: German and Russian. After logon indicator shows the German layout as expected. But the actual layout is English (US). It can be tested on Z and Y keys. In German layout they are swapped in comparison to English. After one switching, English layout disappears. Next issue is the fact, that NumLock status. My default setting is on (in BIOS). After switching NumLock will be disabled. Additionally, Shift+CapsLock still doesn't work. It works for the one time after setting. After reboot not more. I had one more time compile the pulse-audio from source version 1.1. hmm. It looks like the error is more complicated. I have reinstalled Ubuntu 11.10 and the installed Pulseaudio 1.1 from the source with ./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc make -j2 sudo make install Then remove files from ~/.pulse/, as I make it last time, but it doesn't work more. No switching. I have also tried to install packages from Precise (https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/1:1.1-0ubuntu1/+build/2881253), but it also don't work. Then i started the server in the debug mode (pulseaudio --log- level=debug) and try to change the output port. Nothing was printed after the changing. On my current Ubuntu 11.04 i get a text like this: I: sink.c: Changed port of sink 0 alsa_output.pci-_04_02.0.analog-stereo to output-speaker I: module-device-restore.c: Storing volume/mute/port for device sink:alsa_output.pci-_04_02.0.analog-stereo. So, it seems to be an error in module-alsa-sink.so. [Bug 873558] [NEW] [AV200 - Xonar ST, playback] No Switch between speaker and headphones
Public bug reported: I can't switch the audio output from speaker to headphone in the Pulse Audio Volume Control utility (or simply Sound Settings - Audio Output). Nothing happens if i select something in the combobox. But I can change the output with alsamixer from the console, but if i do this, the Pulse volum control don't see the output changes. seems to be a compiz bug - if i select Metasity as window manager - all themes work gut.
