[Bug 356745] [NEW] nm-applet disables VPN options if there is no network connection
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: network-manager-gnome nm-applet assumes that VPN connections cannot be established if there is no active physical (wired or wireless) network connection. The menu entries for VPNs are greyed out. This is unreasonably restrictive. For example, one might have a 3G phone tethered through USB and forwarding a port to the VPN server. ** Affects: network-manager-applet (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- nm-applet disables VPN options if there is no network connection https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/356745 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 83652] Re: Can't associate with AP (madwifi, WEP, hidden SSID)
FWIW, the hidden SSID network here started working after I upgraded to the latest ipw3945 driver (1.2.0) on my feisty machine. Grab it at http://ipw3945.sourceforge.net/#downloads . It's rather easy to compile. [Bug 60612] update-flashplugin should not be using /bin/sh
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: flashplugin-nonfree Edgy seems to have /bin/sh linked by default to dash. dash cannot handle return -1 used in update-flashplugin.
